We've been going to Melbicks for years, so have seen many changes. The cafe was busy, but well organised. We had coffee/hot chocolate and some cake/biscuits. It seemed like really good value for money, but unfortunately the shortbread was soft and the lemon cake had a synthetic taste.
The Christmas display isn't as well laid out as it has been in previous years, but still really lovely. There were lots of Red, Gold and Green Christmas decorations and trees to look at/purchase, but unlike previous years, there wasn't as many other colours displays/items to look at and the ones that there were were definitely smaller.
Melbicks still does Christmas better than most garden centres, but there is room for improvement.

Excellent garden create, large variety of indoor & outdoor plans. Beautiful displays of Christmas decorations at the moment. A great too shop area for children with a big dinosaur.
Didn’t stop at the cafe or restaurant but both looked great.

My wife, Doreen and I went to Melbicks for lunch on our wedding anniversary. The restaurant was immaculately clean and the food was delicious. We were very impressed with the manageress and her staff. They were friendly and polite.

Enjoyed a first visit here to meet a colleague for lunch. Really spacious and lovely old style restaurant which was a most pleasant and relaxing place to eat.

A lovely garden centre and deli. Plenty of things to browse and choose from.
The restaurant looks nice, and the food matches the price point well. Took quite a while to come out (~40 minutes), but we visited on a Sunday and it was busy.

This garden centre is beautiful. The layout around the whole store is done well with wheelchair access around the store.
There are also two eateries that serve delicious treats!

Love it. Great for a wander on a rainy afternoon. Restaurant good and patisserie has great cakes and tea selection.
Christmas too much and too early for me though.

Great to see a garden centre with a fantastic selection selection of indoor and outdoor plants, the outdoor section seems to go on forever. It’s a credit to the enthusiastic and friendly staff that everything is so well stocked and looked after. Staff we met were knowledgable and the indoor section in particular seems very cared for. I hope customers respond by continued buying.
It’s big just plants and gardening equipment though, the cavernous indoor areas have a lot of other offers such as food, toys, seasonal items, etc.
And last but definitely not least, the spacious cafe is also fantastic. Loose leaf teas, coffees of different types and a huge selection of cakes are on offer. Indeed you even get to see the pastry chef hard at work preparing delicious desserts in the background. The cakes are a credit to the chef! Overall it feels like an old school tea room but on a bigger scale.

A nice place for the kids toys, decoration, gardening and pet food supplies but bit expensive. Coffee shops located can get the food and eat it there. Raw meats and fish available worlds tinned foods and fresh bread and cheese available.

How fantastic is this place. We got some amazing bargain plants, some out of this world ideas about Christmas, and an excellent tea and cake from the shop. I am so happy we chose to pop in here. We will be back for the afternoon tea
