The Dragon

Had a very nice early dinner here before heading off to the theatre in Horsham. Been here a few times over the years & glad to say the standard is really good. They have a very nice menu with a great selection of specials. I had the pan-fried Hake & my friend had a Duck a L’Orange, both of which were beautifully presented and very yummy. They have a comprehensive wine list and some good ales on tap. Very nice relaxed atmosphere and the service was friendly. All in all a lovely meal.

Just left after having had a wonderful meal. The Dragon Roast is a complete belly buster! And the kids sized roasts were a perfect size for my 11 year old. There was a minor incident with a spilt drink that the staff dealt with really quickly and without issue. Lovely restaurant, attentive staff and value for money quality food. We got as far as the car park before deciding we would want a Christmas-time meal here and went back to try and book! Edit: returned today for a lunch after walking the dogs 7km (each way), was so disappointed that they weren't allowed in, not even in the bar area. This is what a country pub should be about, locals walking to you! As always the food was great. We just had to eat in the garden.

One of my all time favourite local pubs! The dragons food is always fantastic and of the highest quality. Whilst I have been a fuss ball through my pregnancy, the chef rustled me up sausage and mash because that’s what I have been craving since they took it off there menu during the covid pandemic. I was so grateful and they treated it limits it was no issue at all. Would 100% recommend to anyone who enjoys there meats and great foodie environment.

Came here for lunch earlier today. Warm welcome and delicious, well presented food. Only small thing was that my Chicken escalope was brought to me without the fries but when I addressed this, the waitress soon rectified this. The service was top class and the ambience was lovely. I’ve just written a review for the Cottesmore Hotel where we were staying and have also recommended that guests pay The Dragon pub a visit! Thank you for a wonderful lunch!
