Great proper pub! Just a nice traditional pub with an old style decor. Very relaxed and chilled out atmosphere . Always got some decent cask beers on the bar and something tasty on the food menu. The beer garden out the back has some incredible views !
Gorgeous pub nestled in the hills. Take the train to Colwal and walk up the hill, it’s a great place to start a hill walk with a beer (which is what we did). …

Beautiful pub in a lovely setting, not a pub you'd know to go to unless you were a local or stumbled upon it. Oldy worldly, atmospheric and lovely food. What more can you want from a country pub? Thank you!
Visiting area and called in (based on Reviews) on Monday 29th Sep for lunch. Lovely service, food (cod n chips, burgers, bangers n mash, crumble) all very good and reasonably priced. Hope to visit again soon.
Excellent pub with good choice of beers, a tempting menu and a lovely sheltered garden with extensive views. Attentive service too. Ideal stop after a walk on the hills
