I ordered two chips, fish and a fish cake tonight and it was absolutely lovely, this will be my new go to fish n chip shop! Would like more salt and vinegar though!

Had a lovely meal here this evening. The fish and chips were delicious, everything was fresh.All served by a very friendly and helpful waiter called Harri. We even had a nice bottle of white wine. Would definitely recommend this place. And waiting for their special prosecco and gin evenings!!
What a great chippy. We were in the area walking on the beach in the late spring sun and needed to get something to eat. Straight up marine drive turn right and it’s on the left I was told by a local, you can’t go wrong they do cracking fish and chips I was told. What a fantastic friendly chippy who sell outstanding fish & chips. The person who told me to go there thanks, you were spot on they were the best I’ve had in north Wales 🏴 in a long time. I will certainly be going back to Jaap’s fish n chips.
Very busy on a Friday night, and for good reason! Friendly, prompt service. A little cafe area if you fancy it. We just ordered one portion of chips to share and they were fantastic. Fluffy and soft with a nice crispy outside. We will definitely be back!

After trying a different chip shop on our last visit, I can honestly say this is the best fish and chips I have had. The chips were so good, not greasy at all and the fish was perfect and very tasty. I ordered 2 portions of fish and chips to take-a-way but after seeing the tables inside and the uniformed staff we will be eating inside on our next trip You even get tartare sauce and lemon 😃
The best fish and chips I have had for ages, the best within miles. We shared cod, haddock, the sausages also. I have tried the steak pie, but tonight fancied the fish. Couldn't recommend it any more, simply great 6 with first class service in a lovely, clean, welcoming shop/cafe/restaurant
First time here and would definately go again if I was in the area. One of the best take out fish and chips I've had in a long time. No soggy batter and undercooked chips here!!!! Nice crispy batter on the fish (served with a slice of lemon) and lovely chips. Only negative (and being harsh as the food was so nice!!!) would be that I would have liked a larger portion!!
Fantastic fresh fish and chips. Crispy thin batter and lovely big fillets of haddock. Perfectly cooked chips and quirky Welsh curry.
We were up from exmouth in devon visiting family and Googled this chippy/Cafe as really really wanted steak pudding. The owner apologized saying he had none. Disappointed we left only for the owner to come outside and ask if we could come back in an hour he would have them in and steam them not microwave. We came back had spot on chips pudding peas n gravy. My wife had haddock which was bang on. Chips were not greasy. Cup of tea really good too. Owners super friendly and great service. Highly recommend a visit..
This place is the gem of the west end!! Beautifully cooked fish and excellent fishcakes....but wait until you taste their chips!! Wow! Delicious. I've tried other places but I always return back to Jaap's.
