I was looking for a nice restaurant to take some close family who were visiting from overseas and chose this from looking at the menu and reviews. It was a really good meal enjoyed by all in a well run restaurant . The restaurant is informal but smart with good service. The menu has a good variety of choices all cooked and served with care. They claim to have the best fish and chips in the area - and indeed the fried fish was as good as by I’ve had anywhere. The chips a bit ordinary but still enjoyed and the portion size generous. The dishes we had were pan fried cod and pork belly both cooked to a high standard. The deserts were all served with some flare and imagination. All in in all it was a really good eating out experience which il be happy to repeat when next in the area.
Overall Experience - great place for takeaway
1. Crispy pork with couscous - couscous cooked well with curry, pork is succulent, skin is crispy, highly recommended, portion is a bit small
2. Fish bites - abit blend in the inside
3. Service - very friendly staff
4. Serving time - 20 mins
5. Affordability - £7.50 for most items
6. Atmosphere - sunny and clean
Food absolutely fabulous, well presented and very appetising, being Coeliac menu choice was great (which makes a nice change). Friendly and attentive staff, nice atmosphere, well priced, will definitely go again.
