The Wild Goose Inn - Combeinteignhead - Photo album

This pub is a little gem hidden off the beaten track in a village near Teignmouth. It’s full of history, built originally in the 1600s, wonky walls, oak beams and roaring log fires add to the charm. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and we were served quickly. We went straight into the main
Today's lesson was not to order extra roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and gravy until you've seen the initial portions! Lovely dog friendly old village pub, with parking a few mins walk up the hill. The food was good, especially the roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings, although we were defeate
Not yet tried food, fully booked so get in quickly. Called in as doors were closing but landlord still took time to make us welcome & serve us drinks. BEAUTIFUL unspoilt views from beer garden at rear. A gem in an historic building
Really liked this place! Arrived early for lunch and had a couple of drinks in the beer garden. Just so quiet and tranquil with a stream at the bottom. Perfect spot. Went inside for food, slightly old world feel but was actually so relaxed, table by the window with those views. Was Sunday so roast
Off again today to the Wild Goose for Sunday Lunch. It has fabulous food and service. We book every time we are visiting #DaisyCottage in Shaldon.
Great place. Pain to park if C/p is full but worth the effort. Food was superb and wholly recommend the mussels. Excellent. Good selection of gin and bar staff were good fun. All mains were on time and beautifully cooked. Recommend this place wherever possible but book early. Went again last night 1
Loved it. Found it through Google maps and had a Sunday roast. Beautifully cooked meat and the vegetables played an equally excellent part, the puddings are to die for. Dog friendly in the bar area too.
During a week long stay in Combeinteignhead with a big group of friends we went to The Wild Goose about four times because it was close to the house we had rented and because the food was so delicious. The staff are super friendly too. One of them remembered our drinks orders from just one visit, wh
Popped in to say hello! Incredibly friendly and relaxed pub, serving reasonably priced food and drink! Tucked away so do seek this out for a decent meal and drink!

We had to find out how really good the food was here. Dropped in on the off chance as we had only arrived to start our Devon hols. Lucky us , Sat. night @ early evening we got a table . Place was already busy. Unfortunately no plaice left, so choose mussels instead as we r suckers for seafood anyway
Came in here very briefly for refreshment whilst waiting for a lift after a long hike around the hills. Luckily they had not closed yet. Very nice pub, kind friendly staff, nice cosy atmosphere, lots of character. Wouldn’t mind visiting again if I’m over this way again.
Old world charm in the heart of the village. Flickering Wood fires in winter, sit in the garden by the stream in the summer. Friendly staff, good food good ale.
Took a while for the food to arrive but well worth it when it did!
As others have said it is a hidden gem! Great food, service and atmosphere but only downside is it's a little on the pricey side.
Spent a really good evening here. Food was excellent along with the warm and welcoming staff
Went for dinner with my husband the other night. Such a charming pub with really lovely staff. Nice that they are from all over the UK and they were all very attentive. The food was incredible! My husband had Hake and I had chicken Caesar salad, both very tasty. Would highly recommend and will be ce
