I visited twice inside 2 weeks. By chance was taken there for my birthday celebrations by a friend and then family. It's now on my list as go to favourite. The food was amazing and very ample servings. Service quick and friendly staff (always a bonus) plus easy parking. I'd definitely recommend ☆

Starter and dessert was lovely the main wasn't great the potatoes were cold and the vegetables undercooked as for the beef well it was very fatty the Yorkshire pudding it was very nice definitely the best I've ever had . I told the waitress about my dinner and was told that she'd pass it on to the chef

We have came here for a long time with my mum n dad and my 2 Daughters. Can not fault it, the staff know us and welcome us, the menu changes for regulars throughout the week and the Sunday lunches are fantastic. Food is fabulous. Paul & I bring all our children here now, on a regular basis for Weeknights & Sunday lunches, they all love the menu and the wood fired pizzas are a big hit. Something for everyone.

This review is a bit overdue, but it needed mentioning! We got married on 1st August with lots of guests travelling from far and wide, we wanted to have a meal with friends and family the night before the wedding. The Poachers Pocket was the perfect central location, and the staff went above and beyond. I took a pre order from 40 guests, and sent it into them. Everything went perfectly on the evening, food was very tasty, service was quick and staff were super friendly. I would recommend The Poachers Pocket to anyone in a heartbeat. Thanks to the great staff there 👍🥰

We had a great sample platter for two. All of the items were excellent. The seafood chowder was also great. Enjoyed our dinner with the very friendly staff.

Visited here today for Sunday lunch with friends visiting us for the weekend. I had the beef, and my wife had the baked cod. For dessert we both had the sticky toffee with one of friends having the cheesecake. All of the food was absolutely superb. Beef was really tender and nice medium rare, and the veg was nice and hot with the cauliflower cheese delicious as well. The sticky toffee pudding was probably the best Sticky Toffee I have ever had, and the sauce to go with it just incredible. Service was really good as well, very quick and staff really nice and friendly. Our friends thoroughly enjoyed it and said it was one of the best Sunday Roasts they’ve had in a while. Would highly recommend, and will definitely be back!
