Quite disappointed I haven't stopped here sooner to be honest.. what a place!
I'll be dropping in regularly moving forwards.
The food is beautiful, followed up with a wicked service from the staff and great prices.
The soup and toasty deal is above and the toasties are as big as your head packed with produce & flavour and a great serving of soup. Topped us up nicely for a autumn ride around the lakes 🤌💯
A really lovely atmosphere here. The two girls working here were straight to the point but friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed a lovely pot of tea with my jacket potato and the jacket potato was cooked to perfection. Soft and fluffy with a crispy skin. Thoroughly enjoyable for a spontaneous quick bite to eat.
Had a nice meal here today, food was very nice. The staff were polite, the prices about average for what you would expect and they don't rip you off on the cost of drinks. Takeaway available. There is a second seating area at the back of the cafe. Only thing I would suggest is bake your jacket potatoes. Ones done in a microwave are a bit soggy and not as nice.
Loved this little Cafe, we went there twice while in the Coniston area. They have the best scones / cream tea I have ever had! Friendly courteous staff, we never felt rushed even when the cafe was full. Breakfasts were also very good. I had the Sylvia Special, my husband had a full English breakfast, and our other companion had the Rarebit - all were excellent.
What an absolutely wonderful cafe! Great breakfast, friendly staff and amazing cakes!! Highly recommended for a visit. Thanks so much for our takeaway cakes. So sad we don’t live closer!
I don't write reviews often, but this tearoom was fantastic. It was easily the best English Breakfast that we've had on our trip. The shop was quaint and clean. Prices were very decent and our server was so friendly and helpful! We will definitely go back it we have the time.
Out of 30+ years taveling in the UK, and having Cream Teas all over the place (including Devon!) they had The Best Cream Tea! Scones were perfectly done (and NOT microwaved to reheat, but in an oven), lots of cream, good tart jam, a POT of tea with separate pot of water, and reasonably priced, where far inferior ones--in Arundel, in Kent, in Devon, etc--charged much more. Highly reccomend.
Best Cafe We've Ever Been To...
The cutest place. So glad we stumbled across this little cafe. We enjoyed it so much that we went back on the second day of our break aswel & we will certainly be returning every time we visit Coniston in the future. The staff are so kind and friendly, nothing too much trouble. They cater for everybodys needs & have a wide variety of options on the menu that you dont tend to get anywhere else. I was stuck for choice on what to choose it all looked so good.
The food itself is local produce..so fresh and tasty, and the sour dough bread is out of this world. We would even go as far as saying its the best breakfast we've ever had.
The cafe itself is a lovely little cozy shabby chic cafe with lovely decor and nice little finishing touches, which just made it for me.
They also offer food & drink to take away & have a lovely outdoor seating area round the back to sit out, enjoy a cuppa, watch the world go by & enjoy the great british weather. We can't wait to visit again..Thanks so much :) x
What a find! Lovely little cafe in Coniston. Friendly welcome and lovely tasty food. You'd never guess from the outside but a very special little place, run by lovely people.
We'll be back one day!
An absolutely amazing Full English Breakfast.... All quality produce and wedges of toasted fresh bread. Friendly service in a casual cafe environment. Highly recommended.
