Quite disappointed I haven't stopped here sooner to be honest.. what a place! I'll be dropping in regularly moving forwards. The food is beautiful, followed up with a wicked service from the staff and great prices. The soup and toasty deal is above and the toasties are as big as your head packed
A really lovely atmosphere here. The two girls working here were straight to the point but friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed a lovely pot of tea with my jacket potato and the jacket potato was cooked to perfection. Soft and fluffy with a crispy skin. Thoroughly enjoyable for a spontaneous quick bite
Had a nice meal here today, food was very nice. The staff were polite, the prices about average for what you would expect and they don't rip you off on the cost of drinks. Takeaway available. There is a second seating area at the back of the cafe. Only thing I would suggest is bake your jacket potat
Loved this little Cafe, we went there twice while in the Coniston area. They have the best scones / cream tea I have ever had! Friendly courteous staff, we never felt rushed even when the cafe was full. Breakfasts were also very good. I had the Sylvia Special, my husband had a full English breakfast
What an absolutely wonderful cafe! Great breakfast, friendly staff and amazing cakes!! Highly recommended for a visit. Thanks so much for our takeaway cakes. So sad we don’t live closer!
I don't write reviews often, but this tearoom was fantastic. It was easily the best English Breakfast that we've had on our trip. The shop was quaint and clean. Prices were very decent and our server was so friendly and helpful! We will definitely go back it we have the time.
Out of 30+ years taveling in the UK, and having Cream Teas all over the place (including Devon!) they had The Best Cream Tea! Scones were perfectly done (and NOT microwaved to reheat, but in an oven), lots of cream, good tart jam, a POT of tea with separate pot of water, and reasonably priced, where
Best Cafe We've Ever Been To... The cutest place. So glad we stumbled across this little cafe. We enjoyed it so much that we went back on the second day of our break aswel & we will certainly be returning every time we visit Coniston in the future. The staff are so kind and friendly, nothing too mu
What a find! Lovely little cafe in Coniston. Friendly welcome and lovely tasty food. You'd never guess from the outside but a very special little place, run by lovely people. We'll be back one day!
An absolutely amazing Full English Breakfast.... All quality produce and wedges of toasted fresh bread. Friendly service in a casual cafe environment. Highly recommended.
Great little café, food was amazing, the staff was very friendly. We'll definitely be coming back 😁
World class spread for £15, can’t go wrong. Delicious!
What an amazing jewel in the crown... Highly recommended this cafe, homemade food is amazing & reasonably priced. Service is fabulous, especially off Bethany (waitress) who is polite & an absolute pleasure to meet !! We will definitely return to this cafe with family & friends.
The Green Housekeeper is the best cafe in Coniston. Genuine people, lovely location and amazing views from the outside seating. The food is all amazing and comes out quickly. The staff are more than happy to help and gave me a custom deal :) the food was so good that I had to come each morning of m
A nice little cafe with good veggie options. Despite its small size they managed to squeeze in eleven of us in a mixed age group, 2 to 74, and made us welcome. The food was good too. We ate a hearty brunch.
I had a rarebit. I cannot understand why this cafe hasn't got an even higher start rating. Everything about this cafe is excellent. The staff are very helpful, the tea is plentiful, served in a huge teapot and mugs - hot and perfect. The food portion was generous and perfect, what lucky people the
Came across this little gem after a quick search on the internet, whilst out touring around the Lakes some weeks ago. What a find!!! The quality of homemade food, particularly the variety of locally produced breads, was excellent. As indeed were the service, atmosphere and proffered hospitality. The
I stopped in here twice during my stay in Coniston because the food was so tasty! First time, I had the soup and toastie combo - the leek and potato soup was hearty and I felt like I was eating a proper home-cooked meal! The ham and cheese toastie was delicious. I came back a few days later for the
Great little cafe. I had a homemade quiche and very generous, proper salad, not just a few leaves on plate for decoration. Excellen coffee too.
