I went for Sunday lunch for my birthday. I’ve been going to the Pavilion for years. It’s great to see the owners are still the same, Kim is still as hilarious and a lot of the waiter staff were the same. Please keep doing what you are doing. The owners/managers coming around at the end of the meal to check everything is OK is a big plus for me. They seem to really care. It was fantastic day, I got free ice cream with a birthday candle which was a lovely touch. The lunch menu is fantastic, at a good price and I like that you can change/add dishes. Still the best restaurant I’ve ever been too. Thank you for such a fabulous birthday meal!

Fabulous place, expensive but would go again for a special occasion. Staff very attentive with menus, drinks and food. Had the best House Special Chow Mein I've ever eaten, there was such a huge portion that I brought the rest home. Even had FREE complimentary shots. Definitely recommend.

Been eating at this restaurant for years! Little things have sadly disappeared like complimentary drinks at the end and bowls of lemon to get rid of hand grease, but staff and food remain superb and it remains the best Chinese I’ve been to be done distance👌 The salt and peppers chicken wings are to die for!!

First time of eating here and we will definitely be eating here again. The food and staff were just lovely and as a birthday treat they gave my husband a free ice cream along with a lit candle and a short rendition of “ Happy Birthday “ sang by a slightly embarrassed waitress, bless her . Thank you x

17 of us were there yesterday for my 60th birthday. We were in the small private room, the food was exquisite and the service was every bit as good. It's so nice to have somewhere as special as this on our doorstep. Thank you x

The best restaurant in North East England bar none. Been going for over twenty years and have never once been disappointed. Michelle is a first class hostess. We took four friends for lunch yesterday and it was a first time experience for them all. They can't wait to go back. Says it all.

The Pavilion has always been our favourite family restaurant since our first visit in 1995. The food and service has always been excellent and the bar and restaurant immaculately clean. We recently visited on Wednesday August 2nd for my daughters 21st birthday. We had the Banquet and we all thouroughly enjoyed everything about it. Thanks Michelle and your wonderful staff.

Always enjoy visiting here. Have been visiting for almost 2 decades. Service is always warm, friendly, but professional. If you got there a lot the host Michelle, and her team, definitely gets to know you and your family and friends and shows this through her immaculate service and knowledge. Not many places offer such a personal touch. You're never left waiting or trying to catch anyone for a drink etc. Staff are very vigilant in checking in with you, but without being over bearing. The food is always delicious and plentiful and nicely paced. Not too fast but not waiting ages, either. There is also no rushing you out the door, at the end of your meal. The decor, has remained unchanged for many years, but is still clean, smart and warming. We just visited on the greyest, wettest Januray day and it was still felt cosy inside. Good range of drinks. It's a lovely place, that we've frequently enjoyed and one of the few that's not changed for the worse, over the years, but remains consistently good.

Large dining venue. A little out the way but worth a visit. We had separate dishes and found they were good if you were very hungry. Large so one could cater for two people. Also rice is plentiful so order wisely or you'll leave with a doggy bag. Nice food and service

Absolutely fantastic! The pavilion is a classic Cantonese restaurant. Incredibly friendly and welcoming team, huge range of very well made food. Service and presentation both excellent. Recommended the mixed hors d'oeuvres and won ton dumpling soup.

We had a lovely evening at The Pavilion. We came here to celebrate a birthday and the food was beautiful. Our Duck starter was cooked to perfection, not one bit of fat in the duck. Mains were good but couldn't beat the starter for us. Staff were really professional and went out of their way to serve us to the fullest.

Fantastic food. Great service. Very welcoming and a good friendly atmosphere. You can change food to your own specifications ie instead of having salt & pepper chicken wings, we had salt & pepper chicken balls. The staff are very accommodating like that. All in all we had a fantastic time & I can't rate it high enough.

If you want excellent service, quality food and an experience that goes above and beyond, book a table here. We have been coming here for many years, to celebrate a variety of family events, and it’s never disappointed. Michelle and her team make you feel the most important person in the room, attentive, friendly and nothing is a problem. The food is always exceptional- delicious!

The pavilion Chinese restaurant has always been a great place to go eat. The staff are so friendly and the food is brilliant. All the food is served with authentic cutlery, etc, and they always ask if we are finished and would we like the next course. I suggest you don't eat during the day you go, as there is plenty. Also, if you have enough food over, they will box the rest for you to takeaway well worth going, you should book a table as some days they are full.
