Big, high-ceilinged Wetherspoons bar. All the usual items on offer - food and cheap beer. Popular place to bump into people you haven't seen for a while. Re-fillable coffee at a reasonable price.

I love my local Spoons. Shelly, the manager is a hoot and the staff are mainly crazy. It’s the only pub I drink at in Consett. People knock it very unfairly but it is what it is. A big clean pub that serves good beer and food at reasonable prices.

First time in wetherspoons for a food, had the American breakfast was lush.

Food is always nice, staff are always helpful, friendly and professional. Nice place to go for breakfast dinner and tea always a good selection of food.

Never have I seen a more packed out Wetherspoons. Huge spacious area, with one table left. It was loud, but not rowdy. The food was up to standard and the portions not disappointing.

Had manager's special in the past, on this occasion we only had a coffee, I always have 2 coffee for value for money, it's priced at £1.45 unlimited, food coming from the kitchen looked really decent quality, I always visit if I'm in the area.

Food and service was very good. The manager confronted a group of rowdy lads, and they left.
The only things that I can complain about is the tables were not cleared and clean, so we waited, and in the end.... I had to ask.
I understand it can be a busy pub. But this is not the 1st time this has happened. The other one is ! there is not enough space for prams.
