Found this by accident while looking for a cafe for a cuppa. Best accident ever! Decided to book for the Friday night after being spoiled with delicious coffee, shortbread and tablet.
We had a four poster room which was stunning. Even had a tv in the bathroom!
Evening meal was delicious. I had the venison and hubby had the pork belly. Both cooked to perfection. Cheeseboard for dessert was a step too far. It was huge!
Retired to the lounge for coffee and a wee dram from the extensive whisky menu.
Walk in the grounds in the morning after breakfast was lovely. So, so peaceful.
Can’t recommend this place highly enough. It’s family owned and everyone we met worked damned hard to make our stay perfect.

Visited mid May. This hotel is 1st class. Great attention to detail, lovely location, friendly efficient staff. Chris the general manager goes out of his way to ensure guests are well looked after. He even arranged a meal for us which was not on the menu. Outstanding, this hotel should have 10 stars not 5.!
