Booked in advance for an evening meal. Turned up to a fairly quiet but pleasant pub with a nice big car park. Went through to the bar and explained we were there for a meal and the very pleasant member of staff encouraged us to choose our preferred table as there was plenty of space. Our food and drinks orders were both taken really quickly, which I appreciated and we didn't wait long at all for a tasty curry and a burger. The food was very enjoyable and the presentation was superb too. Would recommend

We booked the Beckett Arms to host a meeting and two course lunch for 30 people. They could not have been more accommodating, and the meal was superb. If a room full of cattle farmers are impressed with the quality of the beef on the plate, you have done an excellent job! Thank you very much for your hospitality, definitely recommended.

AMAZING! In every single detail! And in every single way! From the quality ales to the fantastic (n reasonably priced) wines n gins! Obviously they serve other drinks too, but in my one evening of being there that's all I felt I could sample.. Fantastic and friendly management and staff and beautiful food too... I just wish this place was closer to where I live so I could come by more often. Thank you to all of you for everything you do 7 days a week - but especially for what you've done today to help make Steph and Ben's wedding so special!!!

First time visiting yesterday and was like eating out before the covid hit most enjoyable dine in service me and my partner have had for a long time. find most places now a hinder with all the rules overtaking the experience, the service here was straight forward ordered drinks arrived within 5mins ordered food arrived in 10mins. Food was excellent

Delicious food, friendly service, beautiful surroundings, and as a mum of a small child with an allergy, I cannot speak highly enough of the care put into my child's meal. We were given options the day before as to what met his dietary requirements, and it was cooked specially for him to ensure no cross-contamination. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, especially my son. It was so nice to eat out and not worry! Thankyou to the whole team - we hope to visit again soon!

Came as a group of 6 for drinks and a meal. Really cosy lounge as you first come in with Chesterfield's and tables. Friendly bar staff and great selection of drinks. Sat for our meal. Really lovely staff and great menu. Most of us had burgers which were really good as well as smothered chicken. Had the brie and bacon tear and share...not for the feint hearted, really good quality and worth the money. Great chilled atmosphere and no complaints at all, will definitely come back to try other things on the menu. Desserts were amazing especially loved the white chocolate and raspberry meringue!

booked a room and a table last night the room was absolutely brilliant . cozy an warm clean, everything were it should be ,the best nights sleep I've had in ages. the restaurant and bar was a great atmosphere brilliant service real homely feel. the food was to die for not long waiting time food was outstanding ill certainly be returning. well recommended for the price service and great food

Very nice, small hotel / B&B used for a 3 night stay for work purposes. Was disappointed that the restaurant was not open the nigbt we arrived as the official opening is actually tonight 23rd Feb 18. Rooms very spacious, clean and a comfy bed. Large bathroom. Breakfast is a continental style served in the bedroom due to the restaurant not being open at the time. Not sure if breakfasts will be changed going forward My colleagues and I dined in the restaurant and by God was it worth the wait. The decor, ambience and friendly staff along with the fantastic food is worth 5* alone! Seletion of real ales, artisan gins, vodkas, cognac, single malts superb. Not that I tried all of them of course. It's really good to see a condensed menu that focuses on quality rather than quantity which is a pet hate of mine. Freshly prepared, local produce and fusion dishes were mouth watering My colleagues and I shared a night cap or 2 with the owners and staff. Fascinating heading about the history and transformation of the Becketts Arms Only thing I would change is installing WiFi in the room as there is no 4G signal but would highly recommend this as a short stay for business or leisure Do get to the restaurant even if you are not a hotel guest. You won't be disappointed
