After a little hiccup, that was rectified quick and efficiently, our food came out. It was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere here is super chilled & friendly. The location is absolutely stunning. Definitely worth a visit!

Staying just a minute walk from here on holiday this week, I booked a while ago for Sunday dinner today. We were a party of 3 and were seated in the restaurant, got our drinks from the bar and were directed to our table. Service spot on, the young lad at the bar was friendly we ordered 3 beef dinners, a side of cauliflower cheese and an extra jug of gravy, the food arrived after only a short wait and was piping hot, the beef was cooked well done but also super tender which is impressive, plenty of veg, lots of gravy (we ordered extra but could have managed without but it was delicious) the cauliflower cheese was yummy, super cheesy. We also had a coke, cider and a bottle of Sauvignon blanc and the bill was around 65 pounds. It was worth every penny. Hoping to visit again later in the week, real gem of a place.

Stopped here for an evening meal after a day out. They managed to fit us in on a bank holiday fab! Upon first impressions the pub appeared very cosy with a country village pub vibe. This was nice, upon entering the dining area we were greeted by the feel of a very cosy country room with very little noise. It was a nice atmosphere. The lovely staff members who where attentive to us all evening presented us with menus. I expected a classic pub menu, I was very wrong. The menu was a vast range of top meal options such as salmon, King prawns, Wellington absolutely fabulous for choice. The food arrived and as pictured I was absolutely blown away by the fantastic presentation and the quality was top notch. We were SUPER impressed by the food and service from this very traditional looking place. This is easily better than some of the top chain restaurants that I have visited and certainly had a fantastic team. Thank you.

Lovely pub, lovely friendly service and live music. Great food and they kindly kept the kitchen open for us as we phoned ahead. Great big (flat) parking lot too. ☺️

Jordan and David were so were so nice and accommodating. I have asked for a Pina Colada. Everyone so kind and friendly. I have stayed at the apartment and was very cleaned. The Jacuzzi and all the ustensiles worked perfectly. New by plenty of wanderful places to visit

Popped into the Blue Lion for dinner while staying in the local area - a solid experience overall. This friendly and welcoming village pub caters to the local community and even allows dogs, which is a definite plus. The lady behind the bar greeted us warmly and efficiently took our orders, ensuring we were well taken care of throughout our visit. The food at the Blue Lion was well-presented and served in ample portions, which left us satisfied. The pub has cosy interior and a casual outdoor seating area in their little suntrap round the back.

Visited here on the 13/05/2023 after a long hike in the area. We hadn't booked, but were given a warm welcome and food arrived promptly. There was a really good menu with lots of choice. Everything was well cooked, tasty and fresh. The pub is obviously very popular with local people, which is fantastic when so many pubs are closing in rural areas. It was busy, but with a good atmosphere and very friendly. Highly recommended.

I stayed here for one night with my fiance and our 2 dogs. From the second we entered we received a very friendly welcome and was treated like royalty throughout our stay. The food was excellent and very well presented and our room and the bar area was very clean and well furnished. The room had WiFi and a smart TV that allowed access to Netflix. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Staff were friendly and food was nice. Disappointed that the cocktails were from a premixed bottle but other than that we had a pleasant evening there. Location is lovely and parking over the road which was handy.

Lovely place to stay I only stayed a night to travel the next day but upon arrival it was very welcoming. The room was amazing better than I was expecting and considering the room was above a pub I couldn't hear anything. The food in the restaurant was great and was a good atmosphere with the locals🙂 I would highly recommend to anybody wanting a quiet stay. I'll definitely be going back.
