An excellent village pub with great food and varied, well kept real ales. The pub treads the fine line between pub and restaurant with aplomb. There's big garden and is really welcoming to families. A couple of reviews on here say otherwise, but it's nonsense: the owners provide toys and plenty of space outside for kids. (The nacho sharing platter is my favourite!)

Always come to this pub especially since being taken over. It's so relaxed and the atmosphere is top notch. Food is amazing!! The new landlady and landlord are an asset to cotgrave and the pub. I've also had an event held here and they went above and beyond for me and my party. I couldn't ask for anything better. The events she puts on are amazing and so cheap for what you get. I love coming here and so do all my family. A true family run pub with amazing staff and a one of a kind atmosphere. Also what can I say about the garden, stunning!!!! Go check it out guys or 100% book for an event you will not be disappointed. 😊

Glad this place is back open,great beer and atmosphere, hopefully serving food soon......
Back again for another few pints of Guinness..would be nice to get the fire going though.

Absolutely wonderful pub, dog friendly which we love! Very friendly and helpful staff which is hard to come across these days I have noticed, the pub is very inviting with amazing food at brilliant prices! and the refurbishment is outstanding! I must say the new landlord & landlady - Ben & Elly have done a marvellous job.

A really lovely homely feeling pub. Incredibly friendly staff. Cheap beers in happy hour (£3/ pint).

Came here yesterday to test the waters with the food as my daughter has multiple severe allergies. They went above and beyond to make sure her food was cooked seperate from everything else in the kitchen this took a little longer than a normal order but I was informed of this on ordering and it is to be expected when it is being cooked separately from ordered to eating they could not of done anymore I would definitely recommend here if you have allergies.

Great pub! By far the best local in cotgrave and the staff are second to non.. enclosed garden to let the kids run riot too always a bonus

Found it to be a friendly, quiet and clean pub, I didn't go in for food, so unfortunately I'm unable to comment on the food

Lovely interior with a great selection of beers. Wines and gins! Sat outside in the rear beer garden before having a lovely Sunday dinner ( lamb) washed down ith a few Cornish Rattler ciders! Nice! Friendly staff made a great afternoon dinner with the family 👪! 😂
