Fantastic venue for a private function. We hired the function room on Friday night- couldn’t have asked for anything more. The room was spotless, the buffet was huge and also lovely and fresh. Plenty of seating as well as plenty of room to dance. The staff were great especially our bar lady for the night, Jenny, she was fantastic, friendly, helpful and kept everyone’s glass filled - all in all a brilliant night. Would definitely recommend !!

Nice atmosphere. Wainwrights and Banks blonde on tap also a couple of cloudy ciders, if you like them. We didn’t eat but the menu looked like good traditional pub grub with a choice of portion sizes on the steak pie. A bigger vegetarian choice would have been nice.

Twice this year had a meal here. In September sat in the beer garden and had a really good meal. Tonight went to see the cottingham lights and popped into king Billy for a meal with my wife. We both had meat pie with chips and SIX veg. Again we were greatly impressed. Nice beer too, well kept and very friendly staff.

This is the second time we have booked King Billy as a wedding reception venue .our oldest Daughter Gina married to Darren on Saturday 5th August, the venue is fantastic able to deco ourself , lovely night made better with fantastic bar staff nothing to much trouble , catering food was lovely and plenty of it , a massive thank you to management for making this an evening to remember would highly recommend for future venue

We came to the pub today to relive some past memories as we are not local to the area and we were so glad we did. It had the same lovely atmosphere, great food and the service was spot on. We ordered three lots of fish and chips which arrived quite quickly and was delicious. It is not often somewhere doesn't leave you disappointed but we went away with our happy memories intact. A great pub!

I ordered two sandwiches and three coffees, not realising it came as two meals which we didn't want. I thought the price was a little high but as things are and the cost of every thing being in catering my self I understand. Also It's like in America order sandwiches and they come as meals it also put a smile on my face and my wife and daughter who had to eat them.

The King Billy, located in Cott, turned out to be a great little pub. We had a good time here, partly because the staff and customers were so friendly. If memory serves, it was also a dog-friendly spot, adding to its charm.

Went to a party there. The staff were so helpful and nothing was too much for them. Much improved compared to a couple of years ago. Good atmosphere as well. I havent tried their cooked meals yet but the buffet was fine.

Had a great pie and mash at King Billy this week. Huge portions of everything and plenty of mint sauce provided when I asked for it. Really nice atmosphere inside and didn't have to queue at the bar for long either.

Only about 4 tables occupied but we were early. My only problem was the LIGHT BITE I ordered - ham egg chips and peas which was delicious but too much for this old lady and consequently I've just had a delicious ham sandwich for lunch which a very kind member of staff wrapped for me. I highly recommend this pub.

The King William lV is a lovely traditional community pub in the heart of Cottingham. This large but cosy pub sells an excellent range of hand pulled cask conditioned real ale. There is a wide range of cider and other beers. There are two front rooms and a large separate bar at the back which can be hired for private functions. There is a also a nice secluded beard garden. The staff are very welcoming and friendly this is an excellent pub.
