With great sadness I've noticed last time that this place has been closed and many others in Coventry that I loved. I felt heart broken. Did anyone else feel like that?

Super tasty food and friendly staff. Have been here a few times, would definitely recommend. My only problem is the chairs, a tad uncomfortable if you're a big guy like me
This is a lovely cafe/restaurant off the main high streets. Has a relatively good range on the menu with vegetarian and gluten free food available. Staff are very friendly and accommodating to whatever you need! Just need a few more alcohol free beer!

Really enjoyed our meal at Playwrights. A great mix of meat and vegan options on the menu ensures that everyone has a great choice.
Great place, just wish it was open later on Saturdays. Would be a great place do have a beer in the summer!
They have a separate menu for vegans, which is very impressive, and I absolutely loved my meal! Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Will be going back
Lovely food and reasonably priced. Great service and very friendly. Lovely decor and very clean. Do recommend popping in for a nice relaxing breakfast.

The food is unbelievable!! I had the sausage bon bons to start and pork belly main. Absolutely amazing! Will definitely be back.
I like Playwrights for it's dedicated vegan menu which has a good choice of starters and mains and has a couple of dessert options. The menu is also reasonably priced.

We visited late at night when most of neighbouring restaurants and bars were closing...staff at Playwrights received us with a great smile in spite of the late hours, served us delicious food and were so nice that the 4 people on my table made the comment

We had a lovely celebratory birthday meals for my partner and step daughter.
The food and service were excellent.
They were able to cater for all 4 of us with gluten free menu choices for myself and vegan for my step daughter and her partner as well as normal menu for my partner.
