2nd visit to the shimla and brilliant .food was piping hot and service top class from waiters with a smile ..if your a coventry city fan dont ask the staff if they wanna buy a football club cus they just laugh at you lol .id seriously reccomend this place ..well worth a visit ...i will certainly make it a regular visit ..
I've dined here a few times, before and since it moved from it's former location at Coventry Station. A really nice place to eat, always good service and delicious food. The staff are always helpful and attentive. I'm happy to recommend it. Much better value than the Indian/Thai restaurant on the other side of the street... avoid that.
Probably the best curry house in Coventry, always get a warm welcome and lovely fresh cooked food, highly recommended.
You must ask the staff for their favourite Bangladeshi curry. They recommended the chicken with the lentil side and its was excellent. Just the right balance between chilli heat and taste. Definitely will be back here when I come back to Coventry and I highly recommend it. Ignore the score on google. This is five stars for flavour.
Food was excellent. Service was brilliant. They even gave my brother a cake because it was his birthday! Would highly recommend. My parents are regulars and always love it. Go eat at Shimla spice!
We've been going to Shimla for years. We first started going when it was situated at the train station and when it moved (due to city centre redevelopment), we made sure we found out where they were moving to.
We had a takeaway last night and it was delicious! Lovely Bombay potatoes, and they were generous with the yummy popadom dips too (it's the little things).
We will always eat/order from here, highly recommend.

Only authentic Indian restaurant in the vicinity, really tasty food after a long time, and a wonderful staff. Keep up the good work, by all means way better than Akbars by taste alone.

New décor, new menu, same friendly welcome and good service.
We found a complete new décor at the Shimla Spice together with a reminder of the original restaurant by the station with three clocks with the times for London, New York and Dhaka. The new menu also reflected the Bangladeshi link. We mostly stuck to old favourites, my wife with sizzling fish with the vegetable tray of 3 veggie curries. I tried the Lamb Supreme, a traditional 'home style' Bangladeshi lamb with cabbage and green peppers. The lamb was beautifully tender and tasted great.
Great Indian restaurant. For me it's the best in Coventry right now if you want genuine curries that are cooked from scratch & not full of oil. Naans come out perfect every time ...& very attentive service. Thanks guys !

Best Curry I've had in Coventry in all of my trips over from the states. Great service and wonderful food! Definitely will be back!
