Food was fantastic but we walked in to the empty restaurant and got sat in the walkway to the garden we had people walking past with bowls of dog water and back and forth to the bar sat in a cold breeze as the door was left open. We had to eventually go to the bar to pay for our meal as we got cheesed off with waiting for someone to ask for the bill. It was quite disappointing as all other times I've visited its been great and I had really talked it up to my girlfriend not sure I will return after that experience

Having booked with one of our children in the group having a peanut allergy the staff went above and beyond checking all products and some. Absolutely brilliant. The food was delicious especially the belly pork and salmon 😋

A really nice varied menu with something for everyone,a real service with a smile attitude where nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Good quality food with nice portion sizes, our group five all thoroughly enjoyed the food. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

First lunchtime visit I chose 2 courses from the menu for £16 both generous portions and excellent quality I will be recommending the red lion to family and friends 👍

Brilliant service, lovely food and drink and great atmosphere, the garden was lovely to sit outside and also has a huge play area for children

We went there for first time for a family meal. We ate we drank and had puddings. No fault could be found. Lots to choose from. Very nice decor and staff were polite and friendly
