The White Lion in Browshill Green is a welcoming public house where one can enjoy meals and drinks at reasonable cost
It is a traditional English pub that has plenty of tables which are well spaced out. There is also a lawn area with tables having large parasols for shade or shelter. You have a wide choice of food, including vegan and vegetarian, and also a good selection of wines, beers and spirits. The staff at the White Lion are friendly and helpful. It has recently been renovated and it is beautifully laid out inside.

1st time back since the referb, loved it, chilled out for our anniversary on a Sunday afternoon, food was great, drinks flowed, before we knew it, it was 7 hrs later!
Be revisiting soon that's for sure.

Went today with 2 family members, a lovely waitress called Chloe served us, what a lovely friendly young lady, Chloe explained everything we asked her, her service was tip top. Also complements to the chef's, your food is delicious. I will definitely recommend going to this restaurant. Management team at the white lion, hang on to Chole, she is an asset to your restaurant. Thank you all for a lovely meal today.

I went here for the first time, recommended by the family members I visited with. All the staff were friendly and accommodating, steak was cooked to perfection, add on prawns were more than worth the money. I would definitely visit again

Place has had a face-lift which it badly needed. Had a lovely lunch today served by Shannon who looked after us very well. Lovely cosy fires make it welcoming. Worth a visit.

Enjoyed a great set of meals and warm atmosphere at The White Lion today. Our experience was great, particularly due to Chloe who attended to our table. Chloe explained things carefully and patiently, created a lovely atmosphere, and went out of her way to help us when needed. Thank you!

Loz the server was lovely and was there as and when we needed her.
Everything was great and we all enjoyed our food. The only complaint was the background music was quite loud, but that’s only my opinion.

This pub just had a makeover and this was the first night they reopened. So, the service wasn’t great but understandable. They were so crowded. The drinks were tasty. I had a summer spritzer and it was really nice. Our mains were very good. The only criticism I had was the portion size of my salad. I had a grain salad bowl with grilled chicken. It was delicious but not enough for a main dish. Everyone else at the table really enjoyed their meals. I’d highly recommend. It’s a bit pricey but it’s a lovely place to eat and drink.

Love the pup makeover! The ambience was lovely, the staff very efficient and friendly. The new menu had a good vaiety of food, so something for everyone. I would certainly reccommend The White Lion and will definitely be back.

Went on a Sunday afternoon so of course it was quite busy. It took approx 15 minutes before someone came and took our drinks order. The food arrived within reasonable time with respect to how busy they were. The food quality was good. I had roast beef dinner with a side of cauliflower cheese. The main dish had seasonal vegetables, well cooked and seasoned beef slices, roasted parsnips and roasted potatoes. All good. I would not recommend the cauliflower cheese though as it is just florets of cauliflower in a bowl with melted cheddar cheese on top. No white sauce here and it costs £2.50! Lost 1 star due to the initial wait to be served and the quality of the cauliflower cheese.
