Metropolis Restaurant Coventry

Once Brown's, now a very much "wants to be taken seriously " restaurant. Friendly staff - a good start. Interior could do with some attention. Vast selection on the menu (perhaps too much). My choice of a vegetarian burger was delicious, as was the salad and the crunchy chips. Portion is a little too large. My partner had a full-on meat burger with similar salad and chips. It is early in the week, so not busy at all. My only gripe is the constant music (from the 60 to 70s). Some careful inspection of the decor, more efficient heating, and a reduction in the menu needed .

A great menu with lots of options (including many vegan options which is appreciated) - we choose a selection of the small plates and everything was really good. The staff were friendly and even thought the place was quite empty they had decent music playing so atmosphere was better than we initially thought - would definitely return to try the main dishes

Just been for a lovely lunch. The vegetarian and vegan selection is really large which I loved. I had the mac and cheese and it was one of the best I have had in a really long time. Really comfy chairs to sit on and all the staff were super friendly. Really enjoyed our visit and can't wait to come back again and try more delicious food!

What a wonderful place to eat and drink, very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent choice of food for all dietary requirements. Large portions and 50% of the profits go to the charity! Not many places do that. Most of the staff are encouraged to better themselves. Clean toilets and surroundings. The only glitch was that the tables were sticky, this is not due to dirt or grime but, not wiping tables with a damp cloth now and then to get rid of the excess residue of D10 (industrial multi surface cleaner). I would highly recommend this establishment.

Visited here for my birthday and highly recommendable place! The ambience was really nice and fancy. Perfect for anniversary, birthday, or even a drink out. Food and portion was amazing but mostly price was really reasonable. Had a local touch on the ambience which makes it more authentic. Staffs were really kind and welcoming. One of the must visit places in Coventry.
