Bistrot Pierre

Such a nice place. Stopped by here for afternoon tea after roaming the city. It overlooks the main square. I was informed by the bartender that reservations are required for afternoon tea but they weren't busy and the chef said it was okay for me to be served. The tables on the balcony are great. Views over the main square for people watching. Inside is very clean and classy. The toilets were individual rooms, likewise clean and nice. Afternoon tea included a bunch of pastries as seen in the picture, a coffee, and an optional cocktail(3 choices for a few extra pounds). Service was decent. They forgot about my coffee and I had to flag the staff down to ask for it. Stop here for afternoon tea or drinks when in Coventry.

First time to Bistrot Pierre the food was lovely I had the camembert to start the plum and ginger chutney was very tasty! I had the Chicken Fricassée for main which was delicious and to finish I had the Paris-Brest which did not disappoint! My partner had the Fricassée de Champignons to start the Boeuf Bourguignon for main followed by the Sticky Toffee Pudding which he also thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were attentive, very friendly and didn't feel rushed out the door which was lovely. The atmosphere was relaxing and loved the decor too. It's such a shame we do not live close otherwise we would 100% return however if in the future if we end up in Coventry Bistrot Pierre will be a restaurant we will definitely be revisiting! Hopefully one will open in Hertfordshire.

We had a late meal booked for 3 people, the service and food was great. A special thank you to the staff, especially George who were very accommodating and who we kept late - sorry and thank you! George helped us choose our food and is an asset to the team. We’d also like to thank the team for accommodating our request for a specific vegetarian meal that was not on the evening menu. We weren’t rushed at all and we enjoyed our desserts. Thank you for a memorable night.
