Just had the haggis chips and curry sauce....loved it
Called in Saturday lunchtime as we were passing and had the munchies! Very friendly and quick service, fish n chips and a fish butty (they snuck some chips in too). Really enjoyed the fish butty, a good size fish and tasty, only let down by batter that was slightly slimy under the crisp outer....not sure why, because the fish however was bang on.
Such a hidden gem, the fish is always crispy batter and juicy thick white fillet inside, the chips are by far the best chippy chips around and the staff are second to none, cant wsit for my next cowling chippy fix
Been here today after not getting out for a while and can I just say the quality is still superb the best fish and chips around and the Irish Curry is like nothing around this area this place is a absolute Gem

Best chippy for miles literally as we drive 15 miles just to get them by passing all the average chippys on way. Cowling chippy is superior and the chips are always fresh the fish is tasty, white delicious, batter is crisp and yummy and irish curry wow you wont find a better more traditional fish and chip shop and i guarantee youll love it.
This chippy is excellent. Visited here after working in the area the other day and having a recommendation from a local. I'm glad I took their advice. The food was cooked to perfection and tasted like "proper" English chippy food. I'll definitely be back in future for more. 👍
