This is the most wonderful! gourgous! beautiful!well furnished (to a high standard ) place I have ever stayed! Fiona and Tony made us so welcome nothing was too much trouble even when I fancied something that wasn't on the menu! The wonderful chef was only too happy to add it! The food is out of this world and should not be missed! I could have spent my entire time in the best bathroom I've ever seen I just loved it! I brought away wonderful memories from mull and the Pennygate Lodge!!! I will be back!
We had the pleasure staying here before and after our wedding . We couldn’t have asked for a more romantic spot . Amazing, beautiful rooms and the staff were just lovely and made you feel at home . It was the perfect spot getting ready in the morning before the wedding as well ! The food was amazing and we can’t wait to come back again. Thank you Tony and Fiona for such a memorable stay x
Easy check in, Tony was able to be reached via phone and helped with luggage. The room itself is beautiful, clean, and comfortable with a lovely view of the front garden and bay. We had dinner at downstairs restaurant and could not have been more pleased. It was seriously one of the best meals thus far in Scotland. The lounge is nicely decorated and location can't be beat staying right in Craignure.
We (2 people) enjoyed our stay, two nights in a very nice and clean room, with a view over the harbour and a lovely bathroom. The Lodge has also a nice lounge and garden.
The service was very friendly and helpful. We received a lunchpackage as we missed breakfast because of the ferry we had booked. We enjoyed a hike along a path at the seaside back from the Castle, which was recommended by our host Tony.
On one evening we had each 2 courses at the restaurant. Both were delicious. The breakfast had a rich menu selection and was tasty. Furthermore, the service was accommodating and friendly.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, it was very calming, and would recommend it, even though the price is maybe higher than elsewhere.
An odd arrangement whereby the B & B owners lease the small restaurant, but it works. A fabulous professional husband & wife team run the restaurant as chef & restaurant manager. All the food is absolutely gorgeous, we booked for our anniversary then returned the next night. I've attached the contact details for booking. It's not cheap but a superb culinary experience.

It is in the same location as the lodge, but run by Rema and Noel. I can't fault anything at all, the Sunday lunch was one of the best I've ever had and the service and decor is outstanding.
Very reasonably priced considering the quality of the food. Can't wait to revisit.
It has been a long time since I have eaten in a restaurant with such great service. The hostess was so attentive and the passion and hard work behind the food was clear to see. It was also lovely to see a family run business. The food was absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. At the end of the meal we were treated to the most beautiful sunset!
I’m French, and our diner was definitely on the same level of the best restaurant in Paris. Service is worthy of a 5 star hotel and the food is literally over the moon. The meat is cooked perfectly and the assortiment of tastes goes so well together ! Traditional but very innovative.
The tenancier are so so nice and give everything they got to be the best host ever.
I rediscovered the taste of my childhood when my mother used to hunt the venison in the forests of Brittany. I cried.
And on top of this, there is one of the most amazing sunset I could see in Scotland. The sun faded behind a nice window, slowly, passing through all shades of yellow and orange, to finally enlighten the sky with red fireworks.
I definitely recommend ! We tried many restaurants around and there is nothing close to it. Quality to price ratio is clearly fair.
my stay here was excellent! the rooms were luxurious and modern and the staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious. and it’s only a ten minute walk from the ferry port to Oban
Only had dinner but halibut and vegetables and sauce were outstanding, wine was good and good value, service was of the best quality and skill. Definitely somewhere to go!
Haven't been in the rooms. So can't comment. But restaurant is highly recommended. Food is absolutely delicious, beautiful presented and not expensive. This is fine dinning experience. Service is very professional and friendly. Great choice on menu fussy eater will find something and be happy. Definitely must visit while on Mull. The best restaurant
We lucked out and got a table due to a cancelation. We had an amazing dinner, and the owners were sooooo nice! Highly recommend you book a reservation.
