Nice fish and chips. Friendly Hong Kong Chinese owners. Easy parking right outside on the Brighton Road if you are just there for 10 minutes or so. They also sell very rare fried Mars bars! They are surprisingly tasty. It is traditional Scottish food and why they die young from heart attacks, but I am sure from time to time is fine.

First time visiting Southgate Fish & Chips, and I am very impressed! Service was a little slow because everything was prepared in front of you. No where to sit in and eat, takeaway only.
Although slow, the service was good, a warm welcome and a kind goodbye.
£19.20 for two small cod & chips - not a bad price. Very good size cod and just the right amount of chips. The chips are similar to wedges, but they're delicious!
I'd definitely return - a great little gem in Crawley

Absolutely superb. From the genuinely friendly & polite welcome, the care taken to cook fish to order and even packing the food carefully, you couldn't ask for more. The freshness and quality of all products is 10/10, excellent value for money. I would rate these guys #1 in the area without a doubt.

Decided to give Southgate Fish and Chips a try. Just got a portion of chips. Lovely big chips almost roast potato size. Asked if i wanted salt and vinegar to which i replied "just salt please". Sadly i think most of the salt missed the chips but were enjoyable

Absolutely THE BEST fish & chips in the south east. Cooked perfectly every time. All my family now go here. The staff are really friendly and insightful. Really hope this great little business continues for a very long time!!!
