After booking for an overnight stay nearby for an early flight from Gatwick we went here.
Wow. Onion Bahji was perfect. Light and fluffy with onion nice and crisp not the usual rolled ball of gloop. Best I have had in a long time.
The curries were delicious, I had Chicken Jalfrezi, wife had something with star anise in. Rice perfect. Oh and the Bombay potatoes were really good. I could happily have a plate of these alone. The restaurant is a nice surprise for the location. Mezzanine floor and a good setting. We would definitely go again if the opportunity arises.

Our last dining time before returning back to Canada. Walk in off of the street. So glad we did. Highly suggest this place. pricey but well worth it. Delicious Indian beer.

Honestly the best Indian in crawley.
We have recently moved into the area and working our way round takeaway options. The food quality and care taken to prepare the food and ensure food stays hot was great.
You can tell the quality of ingredients used. 100% would recommend and I can assure you we will be returning.

The best Indian restaurant this side of London. Amazing food, attractive interior, and friendly staff... Nandan was our waiter and very much made us feel at home. Two thumbs up!

After about 30years I decided to try this restaurant again as so many different ones have popped up over the years! Wow this place is by far the best in the area without a doubt. Being a perfectionist I notice everything. Firstly the interior is professionally decorated with clean, crisp lines & is not bodged. It looks immaculately clean everywhere including the toilets. The dining area is warm & welcoming which is nice on these cold nights as I’ve had to keep my coat on in other places. So before you even look at the menu you already feel valued! Next is the delicious food. The flavours are all different & tasty without being over powering or just a mish mash. I compare to quality hifi where you can hear every instrument.. The chicken we had the texture of organic meat. To sum up The Taj Mahal Crawley maybe be slightly more pricey than elsewhere but in my opinion you get so much more for your money & whilst it keeps these standards it is my only Indian restaurant. I have also had a takeaway collection when my son was visiting & the food was equally as delicious. First Class. Thank you. Jayson
