I’d never stayed in a pod hotel before so was a little apprehensive but it worked out perfectly and I’d certainly consider again. Access is via a quick and easy lift journey from the arrivals section of the terminal so couldn’t be quicker when arriving off a flight. The welcome from reception was fantastic with a complementary bottle of water and the check in process was completed within seconds and I was within my room in no more than a minute after arriving; fantastic!
The room was small as expected but surprisingly comfortable. The TV at the end of the comfortable bed was a suitable size and worked well, there were loads of electric plugs and small bedside shelf. The bathroom area acted more as a wet room but the shower was pretty decent and toiletries were adequate. Checking out was just as quick as the arrival which was bliss.
Overall it suited my needs very well, but my only issue was the price - you are really paying for the convenience. For the same price there were a number of nice traditional hotels surrounding the airport, so I’d certainly be dissuaded if I was there for anything more than a few hours stopover. However for that purpose it’s great!
Fantastic hotel, outstanding staff. Big thank you to Nathan! I was honestly impressed. After my airline cancelled my flight and put me on one 12 hours later, I was desperate to find somewhere quiet to rest as I was heavily sleep deprived after 3 days of very little sleep and the idea of being in a loud busy airport for 12 more hours destroyed me. Luckily I found YOTEL and even better it was easy to get to, it was in terminal which gave me great peace of mind and didn’t drain my energy more, I was able to speak directly to a member of staff when I called for directions and everything went extremely smoothly. Thank you to Nathan who was able to easily and clearly guide me through directions to the front desk, checked me in quickly and was on hand, friendly and efficient. The rooms are well equipped, clean and quiet- everything I needed. The bed was so comfy too! Couldn’t recommend more.
Our flight to back home was cancelled. We had to stay a day longer at Gatwick Airport. We booked a room at this hotel and it was nice and very clean. The good part is that you get free coffee or tea, and that this hotel is at the airport. You don't have to travel to find another hotel when you are at Gatwick Airport.
Clean, practical, comfortable, functional at a managable price point. Worth it for the benefit of being IN the airport. Free hot drinks available along with other comfort items (pillows, blankets, showercaps, shower gel, and shampoo etc). Very friendly, helpful staff.
My partner and I had a cancelled flight in Amsterdam and had to fly to Gatwick in the early morning before a later flight tonight back home. As we were exhausted I booked us into one of the pods here and we were both pleasantly surprised! For what it is, you get enough for your money, priced at £49.00 for 4 hours. We took the first available pod which was bunk beds which are extremely comfy, a TV, long mirror, a big enough shower and toilet with sink. The room is all black out so easy to fall asleep and there's a cool added feature of mood lights for ambient lighting.. We got a brilliant kip and are energised for the next wait on the flight home. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to pass some time and rest a few hours!

We missed our flight and Had to stay in Gatwick on the Airport for the night. So we got a room at the yotel. It is really really tiny. But it has a bed, a toilet, TV, a mirror and a shower. And it is really Clean. The employees are really nice and helpful, and you also get a free Coffee or Tea at Night and in the morning. And If you pay a little extra you also get a warm meal. It was perfect for us and we Had a good night.
Great pod hotel in the heart of Gatwick South! You can't get much closer to the plane (however the bloc hotel is also just outside security!). The room is compact and there definitely isn't any additional space however it is more than comfortable for a night before an early flight.
My reasons for four stars and not five is that the spare pillow was a bit dirty and cleanliness is the most basic expectation so that was a big disappointment.
I would also note that there is no luggage storage space in the standard room so it may be difficult to stay here if you have a lot of luggage. Also although they advertise the standard room as having capacity for two people, I think the bed is still not too wide so probably not big enough for two.
I also think the management should offer a floor towel for the shower too, an easy fix! Otherwise a good place for an overnight stay at Gatwick
Seriously such a life saver. I got a day pass which is a minimum of 4 hours and I don’t think I have ever loved a purchase so much. Staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Rooms were perfectly clean and comfortable. This is the BEST way to kill time at this insanity of an airport. I was hating that fact that I had to leave my little quiet space. Thanks Yotel!!!
Small and compact but that’s all you need for an overnight stay at an airport. Warm rainfall shower, comfortable beds, coffee in the morning. Our evening flight was cancelled and all hotels were fully booked, luckily we were able to get a room at about 11pm through another customer’s cancellation. Big shout out to Blaze, excellent customer service:)
I booked a room for 5 hours after I had landed to be able to have a shower and chill out before travelling elsewhere.
It's a no frills hotel, which was fine for my purposes. I booked about 30 mins before arriving. The rate was decent and I only had to wait 5 mins on arrival before being getting the room keys.
I had a single room with no window, which is small but there was enough space to open my suitcase on the floor. The shower was very welcome.
All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to come back if I'm flying from Gatwick and in need of a hotel room
