A day of breadmaking, Andrew is a fab teacher & the whole day is second to none ... food served throughout also very delicious ... wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. If you’ve got a budding baker this is ideal gift for them.
This is the nicest bread I have ever tasted. Lots of choice for vegans and friendly and accommodating as well. Thoroughly recommend.
Loaf are one of our suppliers! Their customer service is first class, their bakes are phenomenal!
We’ve been a couple of times for brunch and the service and food is exceptional.
I visited The Loaf on Saturday 21st January. We had seen reviews online and had been looking forward to visiting for breakfast/brunch. On arrival unfortunately no tables were available so we elected to wait inside for seating to become vacant. There is a seat in the corner of the shop adjacent to the counter that you can use as you wait and the friendly shop assistant asked us would we like a drink as we wait, we took her up on the offer and noticing that only one cheddar and stout sourdough loaf was left on the shelf asked would it be possible for them to remove it from sale and hold it behind the counter until we had eaten and was leaving? Once again the assistant was happy to help. Fortunately we did not have to wait long (approximately 5 minutes) for a table to become vacant. The menu had numerous delicious sounding dishes available and between the three of us we elected to have the rarebit and poached egg, avocado and grilled halloumi and creamy garlic mushrooms all of which were served on toasted sourdough. The food was delicious and all of us enjoyed what we had ordered, the quality of the tea and coffee was also fantastic and the service was excellent throughout. In addition to the bread, pastries and cakes the bakery also has some fantastic looking preserves and other deli items for sale. I would definitely recommend visiting this establishment if you are in the area. Thank you for our delicious brunch and see you next time we are in the area.
Great little spot, very popular with locals and visitors alike. The French country sourdough was especially delicious, much lighter than a traditional sourdough but great both fresh and as toast. Coffee was also good, as we're the sweet treats!
A friend and I did the full day bread making course last week. The whole day was excellent. The instruction was great, we learnt so much, and we all came away having made four different types of bread to take home. It was a fun and relaxed atmosphere, and we were very well looked after with drinks and lunch. We both enjoyed the day enormously and will do another course there.
I highly recommend this fabulous café/bakery. Wonderful service, dog-friendly and an excellent range of baked goods (both sweet and savoury) and a great selection of breads to take out. Their coffee is delicious too! 👌🏻
Excellent bread, cakes, pastries, coffee. Well worth a visit.
We had a very pleasant light lunch followed by tea and cake. Lovely atmosphere and great food.
We used the Loaf’s delivery (and by accident collection) service via text. We ordered loaf boxes and various items to be delivered to ourselves and our in-laws.
The service provided by Suzie and the team was really good, the food itself is fresh and so tasty. With excellent feedback to all those we shared it with.
I can’t wait until lockdown is lifted so we can go and try The Loaf’s cafe facilities.
Thank you again, you’ve been brilliant!
Clean, good service, great food even brought steak pasty and Cornish pasty home for lunch next day. Good selection of cakes and buns too.👍
Parking in village square limited, but some street parking around.
Delicious breakfast, great friendly service. Will definitely visit again
