No1 Cromer & Ice Cromer - Cromer - Photo album

We booked No.1 Cromer last minute for 6 adults and 6 children to get some quick fish and chips. It’s more than just a fish bar. The food here is great and they have a wonderful menu. Nice and spacious, warm and friendly with spectacular views of Cromer pier. We would definitely return for more. The
Absolutely perfect fish and chips. Incredible portions with stunning views over the sea, beach and pier. Swift service and everything is prepared fresh to order. Melt in the mouth chips, crispy battered fish. Gherkins, onions a bit small for the price. Ice cream bar including banana splits! Friendly
Visited with my girlfriend on a Monday evening. We visited Mary Jane's the previous evening on a friend's enthusiastic recommendation. It was decent enough but then we tried No.1. No.1 surpasses them easily. Crispy batter on the boneless & skinless cod. Chips were a good deal better also, offering
Bumpy start waiting 15 mins for drinks and a further 45 mins for mains. People who'd came in after us were already finishing up and leaving. Lipstick on cup. And avoid the Seasonal Ale, tasted like tobacco. Otherwise the food was great, the staff very friendly and the view was excellent overlooking
What a wonderful place. The food is superb. Second time I have been and just as good. Service is excellent. Staff are so lovely. Had the fish and chips with the tartrate sauce. Salted caramel ice cream for dessert. 100% recommend.
Well, I love Fish and chips, as do most of the country, so when I was completely disappointed with Eric's after giving it such a good review, I thought I'd try No.1 Cromer. This turned out to be a great decision, Beautiful starter of prawns and popcorn cockles and the crispy cod and chips was fantas
Lovely place with lovely views. We made a booking, with it being bank holiday and the coast always a favourite. We had haddock and chips and cod and chips, cooked to perfection. Staff were lovely too! Brilliant place for fish and chips with a beautiful sea view. Highly recommend and will come back a
This is not my first review of No.1 (and more important people, like Jay Rayner, have written about it in the press). But I am happy to see the Upstairs maintains a very high standard of food and ambiance. To be clear: the No 1 has also a takeaway, and a downstairs seating, but both are ordinary (de
Lovely restaurant, food was great and came quickly. It does get pretty busy so I suggest booking or preparing to wait. Especially with a large party.
£3.50 for 3 scoops of ice cream is a good deal compared to other ice cream places in Norfolk which are at least £3.50 for just 2 scoops. The flavours to choose from aren't vast and they don't have all of the flavours advertised on their board available, which is a shame. But the ones I did try were
Great meal there and a lovely view. We had the small fish which had a tasty batter. This was enough for us. All the staff were friendly and efficient even though it was full. Kids meals come in a free small bucket 🪣 and spade. Only downside was our daughters sausage that was as tough as old boots 👢
I was told this would be the best fish & chips I'd ever had. Challenge accepted! When we got here, the queues for the take out were round the block. Good start! We were in the restaurant upstairs, which is called Upstairs At No. 1. We had booked which was a good job as we saw them turn about four co
Delicious, best bit of haddock I've had in years. The curry sauce was amazing, also. Only complaint is that the chips, while lovely, were a bit mean portion-wise.
The view is a typical beach setting, serving the best fish and chips. However I started with a Thai crab bisque and crab cake. It was difficult to choose, so many wonderful on the menu. The service was friendly and efficient, in fact I commented on just how good they were, clearing the starter's she
Worth the queuing time to get in. Light and crisp batter on freshly and perfectly cooked cod/haddock. We were group of 5 and every one of us is a fan. Other food is available, but frankly, you come here for the fish and chips don't you? Upstairs is same prices as downstairs, but you have to book ahe
Young brigade working hard to satisfy the holidaying throngs. Front of house manager (Jodie) took the criticism of the cockle popcorn, asking why it wasn't great. The batter was too tempura and needed to be more puffed, so advice was smaller portion with better batter. The haddock and chips was grea
Loved the cod and chips! Prolly one of the best ones I've had. Staff are nice as well! I wish I ordered the specials but the cod on the other table looked very tempting.
First visit and we loved it, batter was crispy and tasty, best fish and chips we have ever had, no wonder nearly every table wad full. Quickly served and staff were attentive through out. Take a trip to Cromer and give No1 a try , you'll love it
Dinner for a group of 13 camping nearby, efficient ordering system for takeout, napkins, salt, vinegar and forks provided separately in a bag with your order. Food was good quality, one of our group had the fried brie and it looked amazing. Take a few steps and there is an outdoor dining platform o
