Salve Italian Restaurant - Croydon - Photo album

This is an Italian restaurant in East Croydon, a small, cosy and intimate place serving up scrumptious Italian food, I had the home made Italian sausage with short pasta which was absolutely delicious. I went there last night and it was rather busy for a weekday and unfortunately the waitress who wa
I have to say this is a nice little quaint Italian place, the food is great and it's very inexpensive. I did hope they had more vegetarian pizzas but what they did have tasted good. It is a little small inside so coming at peak time could result in waiting for a table. The lunch offer is very cheap
SalVe Italian is one is the best & authentic Italian restaurant in Croydon. They have vegetation, gluten free options and good variety of Italian wines. We had delicious vegan tomato sauce Spaghetti and My friend had Risotta with mussels. Highly recommended place for authentic Italian food. Thanks f
Fantastic pizza, great feel to the place and it feels like an authentic Italian restaurant. Great staff too. Loved it.
Great Italian food. The portions are quite filling (at least for the items that my friends and I had). The mozzarella pizza bread is absolutely tantalizing. I highly recommend it. But with the fairly large portion size, sharing this starter with a friend is probably be a good idea. You may even wan
We have been here a few times and have always had excellent, authentic food and service. They have an interesting and varied menu and their food is tasty and fresh. Most recently we booked for a party of 30 and the owner, Enrica, could not have been more helpful. She offered us a tailored menu, acco
Best meal that we've had in a long time. So often Italian food tastes like it's come out of a microwave but this was authentically delicious. The service was outstanding with genuine Italian hospitality. The food was made freshly and it showed, simple authentic Italian with good quality ingredients
The place is clearly not appealing from the exterior nor the interior ; it would clearly benefit from a proper redesign / clearance. Staff is friendly and natural, you can see you are entering their family restaurant. Food is fairly good, it tastes fresh food ; it can be a bit greasy but nothing ala
We stayed at the neighbouring hotel and at first thought this was going to be a typical hotel "restaurant" - bland, reheated food. How wrong we were! The food was delicious! Obviously freshly-cooked, imaginative flavours and very generous portions! This is authentic Italian cooking, done with heart
We arrived around 7.30pm for dinner on a weekday. It was quite busy with few large groups. The interior felt like 2 separate spaces although with plenty of tables. Overall the service was good and friendly. The dishes were fairly tasty and big portions. The only complaint was that the service was qu
The food is simply authentic and amazing. The staff are wonderful, warm and welcoming. I've been to many Italian restaurants in my life, but this one balances the quality of food with the warmth and reception of Italian culture. Trust me, you have to try it to see for yourself... Well done Denis,
Shate board starter was fab, seafood spaghetti also fab, no mussels but was offered extra of any other seafood, so got extra king prawns, thought it was good that I was advised about the lack of mussels before I ordered. Also had ran out of 2 of the desert s on the menu and it was only early. Nice t
Forget all the "Italian" food chains. This is an authentic Italian restaurant where you can taste real Italian recipes made with fresh high-quality ingredients and love. The atmosphere is intimate, the food is great, the portions always very generous. I ate there every week for months and never left
Friends wanted to eat Italian today, Real Italian restaurant. The staff are amazing but the food speaks for it's self. Pizzas are authentic and the pastas wow the best. Working away from home I love going here as I feel very welcome.
This is now my favourite restaurant in Croydon. Its like an unfussy canteen that you would find in Italy. Unfussy, unpretentious and great tasting food served by friendly staff. I reserved a table as the reviews said it was small. True it is small but worth booking a table.
I've been a regular here since they opened. This restaurant cares about its customers, serves delicious food, and is reasonably priced for what it is. They also cater to special dietary requirements where they can. Their vegan pizzas are delicious.
Tasty food, it looks like a proper Italian restaurant but in Croydon. Italian staff makes you feel you are getting the real Italian experience. I must say that they were friendly, but just a bit slow getting you what you ask for. Coming back if I am in the area again.
Visited on a Saturday evening, service great, reallyful and friendly. Food arrived quickly and was delicious (special mention for the mushroom risotto). Really good local restaurant off the main path in Croydon. Only downside was that it slightly lack atmosphere due to being quite quiet.
