As a regular at the Bedford Tavern I can honestly say I've not been in a more welcoming, friendly and inviting pub. The staff are exceptional, the food is exquisite and the prices are more than reasonable! Say hi to Natalie and Seamus when you get there, they'll treat you well! Needs an extra star!

We were a group of 5 visitors to Croydon wanting to watch the lunchtime football, the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Three of us ordered burger meals which were plentiful and excellent. Will be back next time, many thanks.

Stopped in for a drink after a long walk and decided to have food. We had the chicken and beef roasts. Really delicious! Meat was flavourful and well cooked with a great selection of veg. Yorkshire was made from scratch which was both fab and difficult to find often! Best part was the gravy and potatoes were the stars! Sticky toffee pud sounded good but we were too full. Next time!

Enjoyed a great meal. Good value for money, it was so big I shared with a friend. Always a great atmosphere, staff are friendly and helpful. Really great place to eat and relax. You need to get there early as its a really popular place.

Great food, especially Sunday roast. Best Guinness in the UK. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. The staff are in a league of their own.

Popped in Saturday lunchtime and went back Sunday to watch Liverpool v man city .short walk to the premier Inn where I stayed and not much further to east Croydon station .really smart inside .loved the decor with the old style adverts etc BEST WISHES TO CAROLINE 👍BEHIND THE BAR . I met a friend for a quick lunchtime drink in this little gem of a pub. I have driven passed it many times and it always looks inviting and mostly busy. We didn't want to go into central Croydon and this pub is only a very short walk from Wellesley Road (the main drag), where my friend was working. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and they seem to have a good selection of beers, though I'm no expert. The decor inside is rustic and charming with low beamed ceilings and traditional fittings. To find a pub of this calibre down a back street in Croydon was a very welcome surprise and I would definitely recommend it.
