I don't like to kick the proverbial man when he's down so here goes! This should be a 3-star but that felt a bit mean (the retailers in Croydon are doing their best in difficult circumstances). However, tinsel could not be found! We sought it high. We sought it low. Did all the good folk of Croydon buy them up??!

There are two shopping centres in Croydon, Centrale Shopping Centre and Whitgift.
Centrale Shopping Centre is nice and spacious and houses House of Fraser, H&M etc.
On the second floor, there are some eateries.
The best thing about this mall is that they have lots of seating for people to have a rest.

Centrale Centre usually isn't as packed with people or with stores as Whitgift centre is.
But during this pandemic if you want to be away from crowded places or people, this centre would be ideal for you but remember there isn't many stores in here too so you may exit out without realising that's the end of the tour.
Check online for what stores are available these days, it may be a little confusing finding your stores which used to be there but are now gone.

I always love the toilets here. Never really visit the stores. Much quieter browse in comparison to Whitgift.

One of my favourite places to be. Many places to sit and relax inside and outside the shops. Plus it is a relaxed shopping experience.

I felt safe visiting this location, considering outside was very crowded. I even felt safer than outside...more like a sheltering place, away from too many people. Nevertheless, I visited on a Saturday, when the food market was on.
