This place is a dive, the food is cheap & cheerful. It's cheaper to collect than order on delivery apps. The owner/workers are friendly & helpful. They cook fresh food twice a day, they run out so worth ordering earlier. They have a few seats for waiting. Great local take-out place.

Ordered from JustEat and collected from store. We got the meal for 2 which was great value and piping hot when we collected. The food was super tasty and fed us for 2 meals each! Would definitely buy from here again as very convenient

I come here for kebab rolls and chicken tikka rolls. They are scrumptous! Naan is fresh! I don't get anything else because I am afraid to admit, but I love my Mums curry better than outside curry ;)

I’ve eaten here a few times, great for a quick bit of food en route home. Just had a lovely naan..freshly made to order. My only advice would be to make sure the opening times on google are kept up to date as it’s not always open when it says it is. Give it a go!

Great service and food top notch. I go like once a week but last week I went 3 times in my lunch break I work 5 mins away and the biryani is nice and he gives you bit if chicken curry on too to give the gravy and it's a good price. The kebab roll is very big and filling and good taste thing with kebab rolls they mostly taste the same everywhere which is not bad.

What a great find! We had popped into another nearby cafe for a late lunch but the menu was so uninspiring we soon left. Walking past the Spice Corner, we noticed some lovely looking food on display so popped in here instead. The service was great, the owner obviously very passionate and the food amazing - very authentic and we ended up tasting many very delicious dishes. Great value and lucky also that they do take-away. I had the spicy lamb curry with garlic naan - very filling but I had to try one of the onion bhajis as they looked amzing as well as a vegetable samosa. I finished off with some delicious Jelabi Indian sweets and all in all we were both very pleased we accidentally stumbled upon this gem. Good luck to the owner and please do try this place soon!

Great new takeaway. Food is authentic Punjabi and tastes great. Has a few seats for eating in. Try the chicken karahi. Asked if they would cater for a family party and they said they can.

This was an unexpected and brilliant find. It's on the corner of Cherry Orchard Road and Lower Addiscombe Road across the road from the Co-op. Spice Corner is mainly for takeaways but does have a little 'functional' seating in the restaurant (which is where we ate). We were only passing and what caught my eye was the large pile of jilebis (Indian sweets) on the counter. Not many Indian restaurants have fresh sweets - and none of them have them on display! When we popped in, I could see immediately that this small place had an authentic & original menu and a display cabinet full of delicious looking curries as well as a counter-top piled with pakoras, bhajias and freshly made samosas (meat & veg choices). On chatting to Rajah, the boss, it was easy to see that this man has incredible passion for his restaurant, his food and his customers. He was keen to share what he'd like to do to improve and open minded to suggestions. He was smiley, welcoming and very generous. As for the food. We come from Indian / Pakistani backgrounds. We love our food and flavours. We have childhood memories of delicious Indian treats and snacks that our parents have made. So, it's hard to find a restaurant that matches up to our past experiences. We have to say that Spice Corner was just delicious in appearances, textures and flavours. We quickly tried a whole range of curries, dahl, raita, naan, pilau, pakoras, samosas and sweets (see some of the pictures). The sauces were so carefully made and had that home-made quality. The meats were tender and full of flavour. The snacks were freshly made and amazing. All the food we ate was prepared on site, on the day. Even the sweets - made on the premises. Tip - try the jilebis. As a result, we will be back. Since it's close to home, we'll probably use it as our main Indian takeaway. They deliver free (under 3 miles) or £2 delivery for a little further. Not only did we eat well there for our first visit, we took several bags and containers away for our parents to try! Well done to Rajah and his staff and good luck to Spice Corner! PS... the takeaway premises has a disabled / wheelchair friendly entrance. It also has a bathroom (unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs).
