Best pub in Croydon, one of the best in London for alternative music. Metal nights with Dan and DJ Wolfman are the best 👌 wish they still did live music but I hear they might start this again soon. Love the staff and punters too 10/10 A+++++ Having seen some of the reviews about racial profiling or racism, I have to say I am mixed race and have been coming to the ship for 14 years and have never experienced anything but welcome from the staff and other people there. It is a lovely alternative pub and one of very few where the music is actually enjoyable. Nothing but love here.

This place is a delight Not only is the clients and the staff so friendly It's a safe space for everyone as well I put on a show here after it was highly recommended and everyone adores the owners and the staff Felt like a second home and over 60 people agree with me after yesterday, big massive Thankyou to Jackie and mark the doorman and all the staff, and thanks for showing us all the best time

This was the pub to go to for the greatest night out. It had all the characters, the humour, the ambience, friendly bartenders, the best beers. I loved this place. Was here most nights for 10 years in a row back in the late 70s early 80s, before I moved away. If I ever wrote a biography, this place would gets its own chapter. Legend.

I love this place. And having read a recent review I couldn't possibly disagree more. The staff member did not raise their voice. My table was directly next to them and could hear the exchange. The crowd of the ship, especially staff and regulars have always been welcoming to any newcomer, regardless of race or sexual orientation. The staff have a friendly vibe with those who attend and that's why so many of us keep going back. Prices are reasonable and atmosphere is unbeatable. The kids Halloween party was once again fantastic and my children thoroughly enjoyed attending. Thanks to the owners for organising such a great event, plus the whole weekend. The pub has very much remained a regular place for so many of us because the experience we get every time. As a regular I love this place.

No food is served here. But there's plenty of choice for drinks. There's rock/metal everything in between played everyday and djs on Thursday to Sundays. Great atmosphere most of the time. One of the only places in Croydon I feel safe to relax and let down my hair. I also bring my children in thr day and they love it here. It's also dog friendly!!!
