Had a lovely Sunday lunch today.Great food and good portion sizes too. My wife had Roast beef and all the trimmings with a side of cauliflower cheese while I chose the roast belly pork with apple sauce and crackling. Delicious. We both finished with banoffee pie topped with oat crumble and custard for desert. A great end to a great meal. We would definitely recommend The Talbot !
We hired The Hayloft and can’t recommend it enough! Such an amazing room for an intimate occasion with family and friends! Food was delicious too ;)
The food is lovely and you will have a great time as the staff are great too, I need to go on a Sunday for their roast! Cocktails are lush particularly the martinis
Absolutely exceptional experience dining at The Talbot. The food was so delicious and fresh. The staff were friendly, attentive, and really couldn't do enough.
The price was great and good value. Lots of wonderful food options and even good vegan and gf options too! Can't wait to come back. Highly recommend!
Popped in Sunday for and afternoon meal. Plenty of options and chose the Sunday roast. I had Pork Belly and the wife had Chicken. Meal was served promptly and was excellent. Highly recommended
First visit to The Talbot today for Sunday lunch. My wife and I loved it. Excellent roast, all perfectly cooked and presented. Staff were brilliant too; made to feel very welcome. We'll be back.
Fantastic Pub. Visiting for just a pint a lovely little pub with great seating inside in a cosy feel pub or outside in a court yard with outside cover and heaters. We also enjoyed dinner in the restaurant which had excellent service and food that very generous in size portions. Large variety of menu which we strongly believe has something for every taste bud. Visiting on the first Monday of the month brought along the monthly Quiz nights. Which was great fun to participate in - even if we did have the team with the least amount knowledge. Overall would highly recommend this Pub!
First visit, it was a Tuesday night. Really pleasantly surprised at the buzzy atmosphere. Team were smiley happy and attentive. Had a great meal and just enjoyed the overall feel of the place. My youngest daughter said she loved it and had a great night. I felt the same. Let's hope they keep that going. All to often you find places like this and return some time later to find they've slacked off. Hoping this isn't one of those places. I'm sure it won't be. Thoroughly recommend.
After having had a not so brilliant experience of takeaway from here recently we were invited by the manager to come and dine in. Luckily for us we chose the Greek night to do so! The staff have clearly changed over recently which might explain the previous bad experience, but they were all helpful, smiling and friendly! And the Greek platter was delicious, with a great wine recommended to complement. Will be coming back soon.
Enjoyed a delicious lunch here on a Wednesday. I had the nduja pizza and my wife had the tuna melt. The spice on my pizza was perfectly judged and the tuna melt had loads of topping over perfectly crusty bread. The team were friendly and the prices were reasonable (for modern times!).
We hired The Hayloft for an evening musical charity event and honestly couldn’t have wished for a better experience. From the initial booking through to the event, Matt and the team have been amazing. Thorough, thoughtful and flexible with the planning, everything was made easy, questions answered quickly. On the actual night, the team were exceptional, staff friendly and really helpful, the room looked brilliant, the food was excellent, all our guests loved the venue. Fantastic place, whether it be for a swift drink, evening meal, event hire or musical event, 100% recommend and we will definitely be back. Thank you!
Been here a few times now and it one of my preferred places to meet, eat and drink. Lovely place, great atmosphere and very welcoming staff. Food isn't the cheapest but really good, worth the extra compared to other places I've tried. Nice selection of local ale too. Huge bonus is they're 100% dog friendly! Only downside is parking can be difficult but, again, worth it if you have to park up the road and walk back.
Definitely recommend this place.
