We celebrated my Mums birthday here and we're pleasantly surprised. I have come dread eating out as there is always something wrong with either the food or the service. However the Plough has quite rightly placed it self at the top of my 'local places to eat on a Sunday' list. Don't take my word for it, try it out for yourselves and I think you will agree, generous portions sizes and down to earth prices, a very rare combination indeed. Pair these with friendly staff and calming surroundings and you have a lovely restaurant/pub. A heartfelt thank you all involved.

First time here, food was excellent. Tasty, hot and a fair variety of options. Vegan cluckless gougons were a bit hit and the BBQ ribs were great. Our server was excellent, attentive and very helpful. Will be visiting again soon

I had fish and chips also my friend too. It was the worst fish and chips I ever had. It was over cooked, dry couldn't get fish meat from inside the butter.😠
Never eat there again. Staff were very friendly. Atmosphere is good too.

My local (and nearest) pub I have been there many times over the years on social events, family dinners and dates. The service has always been to a high standard and the staff are always lovely and can't do enough to help you out. For a chain pun the food is brilliant I can honestly say in the 6 years I have ate and drank there I have never had a bad meal or left dissatisfied. My one and only gripe is the bar area to the far side of the pub tends to get abit crowded with older patrons who sit at the bar blocking it off on occasion making it harder than necessary when you just want to grab a pint. Otherwise I can't fault the place.

This pub has some interesting and fabulous decor.
Tables are spaciously laid out. Plenty of space in their carpark.
We booked a table for a birthday lunch. Join the Mac Family club to get a birthday drinks offer.
The service was great and we opted for starters and mains.
The rotisserie chicken starters were tasty with various flavour options.
Other highlights: halloumi fries, steak pie, vegan mushroom pie and the chicken skewer.
Generous portions and all the condiments you could possibly need to compliment your meal.
Gutted that we didn’t have any room in our bellies for pudding as they did sound good.
Additionally, there is a large beverage list as well as an accommodating alcohol-free cocktails menu.
They also do afternoon teas which I think would be nice to try another time.

Usually come to this pub for a drink in the evening but decided on a Sunday afternoon to stop for a bite to eat. Was initially a bit unhappy that I asked for a burger without jalapeños but it came with them anyway. I mentioned this to the waiter that came to collect the plates when we finished eating who went above and beyond to offer something additional on the house. I declined his offer but appreciated his gesture. I think it's the little things like this that make a place decent, although it could have been a different story if I had a jalapeño allergy. I then asked if they do cheese boards and again the same waiter went above and beyond to prepare the cheeseboard you see in the pictures, even though it is not on the menu. Ok, the grated cheese left a lot to be desired, but the other bits, especially the Stilton was awesome with a glass of red wine. Lovely pub in a lovely area with respectable folk. What more can I say.
