We were in the area and searched for places to eat and The Firehouse came up so we thought we'd give it a go. What a splendid find it was. We went midweek and had to eat in the bar area as we hadn't booked (recommend you book whatever the day as it's very popular) though we were treated the same as if we had eaten in the restaurant. The barman was very convivial and couldn't do enough for us. I'd also recommend the OPA (oak, pear, apple) cider if it's on when you go (it is a guest cider). I had the calzone which was superb as they have their own pizza oven. Outstanding find and would make the effort to go there again when in Somerset. Can't recommend it enough, as you can probably tell
The service was impeccable, wonderful staff and food brought to the table quickly. The food itself was really good, I can recommend the scotch egg starter, the chilli jam was hot and sweet but not overpowering. I had the chicken casserole for a main course, it was delicious and the veg perfectly cooked. All our group loved the food!

One for date night! My good lady have been him several times previously, however, for me this was my first outing at the firehouse. The service from the staff was fantastic. They were attentive but also as well they did not hang around either, a fantastic blend of service and space. the food exceeded expectations, value for money was fantastic and very decent portion sizes, which, for a man of my physique is important :-).
The atmosphere was perfect, a good volume for ambient music, with a rural cottage feel from the area we were seated.
Would we go again… for sure.
Wonderful pizza every time we come here, the service is excellent, the selection of food and drink is really good. Love it every time we visit and the place never disappoints.
Popped in for the first time to have some lunch and were very impressed by the building and decor. Lovely stone walls and large oak beams but remaining light. The lunch we had was superb. Beautifully cooked and presented. Some interesting rooms as well as a cool vault. Will definitely be back. Top marks.

Pizza was lovely, stone baked, and garlic bread too. We didn't like the service charged onto our bill, which we didn't know, until they print a receipt. We prefer to tip separately, if the service was good, but not added on! Food was lovely, but a bit pricey! Not sure about coming back again?
Oh wow, this place is just the best. The look and feel of the outside and inside, the food, the service, but the food!!! Let me come back to the food. The choice, the quality, pizzas are made in an oven at the front, and I had the best ploughman's I've ever had in my life. This place gets my vote and every time we come here on holiday from now on, this is the first place we come. Thank you guys, awesome in every way.
Booked and visited on a sunny Saturday lunchtime. Easy parking at the rear of the pub. Nice atmosphere with numerous seating areas although felt a little close to the next table. Great selection of pizzas and other dishes with a local focus. Moor Beer Envy on as a special and it was just that. We ordered 3 pizzas and a goats cheese burger. Food was very tasty and well cooked/presented. The wife can never eat a whole pizza so was offered a take out box for the bits she couldn't manage. The only reason to not give 5 stars was the slow service. The place wasn't rammed but we struggled to find a member of staff to order more drinks. Will go back but probably not when at its busiest.
Less like a pub, more like a homey restaurant. You get full service and it’s such a cozy feel. Some of the younger staff seem a bit bothered but that’s what you can expect really, adds to the feel haha! Very lovely people, blankets if you’d like them, and the food is great, a bit pricey but for the place and the service it seems adequate. The food options are great, definitely recommend coming!
Good food, usually busy but the service is still good. Plenty of choices for drinks and they have games and cards you can use at your table.
