We visited here on a trip to Dalbeattie, Friday night. The restaurant is in a pub (The Ship Inn). It was very quiet and there was only us, and 1 other table - but lots of takeaway orders.
The staff were so friendly, chatting to us about the history of the pub and how it became half a Chinese restaurant.
The food was delicious - best Chinese food I’ve had in ages! I’d do the 4hr drive just to eat here again. The salt and chilli chips are divine!
The restaurant itself is a bit dated but I think it just adds to the charm of the place.
The only thing I’d possibly suggest is maybe tidying up the exterior a bit at the front - lots of dead plants and rubbish here and there.
Other than that it was a lovely meal. Will definitely return if I’m in the area again!

Ordered a takeaway from here, staff were very friendly, didn’t wait very long and prices were amazing. The salt and chilli box was lovely and the rice was too but found the chicken chow mein was a bit tasteless unfortunately. Everything else was spot on and I would definitely go again!

We were at this restaurant yesterday afternoon for the first time as we were visiting Delbeattie. The lady was very friendly and welcoming. We had soup and main. The food was very nice and tasty. Service was quick and didn’t have to wait to long for our food. The food was nice and hot when the lady brought it to us. Prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

We've struggled to find a good Chinese restaurant or takeaway in Dumfries and Galloway. I'm really glad to have found Rose Garden. Excellent value, super-friendly staff, loved the food.
Their curry is spot on, that nice robust yellow/brown fragrant sauce, onions with a bit of a crunch to them, nice tender meat. The fried rice is excellent too. Thanks for lunch!

Of all the Chinese Takeaways we frequent locally to home this Chinese tops them all ...if only it was closer ... hands down , this is Par Excellence with a great variety of Chinese favourites as well as some Thai dishes . Salt n Chilli chicken chunks is divine ....what you waiting for !

Absolutely loved our take away. Ordered the salt and pepper box and was really surprised by the content, it was more than what we expected!! Each dish was really tasty and well worth the money.
