What a wonderful place. We came for my husbands 40th brunch. So accommodating and he was made a fuss of by all the staff! Wonderful food, wonderful view and wonderful staff.
Beautiful place to visit, friendly staff and the Lemon Cake was yummy, would highly recommend and dog friendly too
À popylar, bustling countryide situated tea room offering hot or cold foods and tasty home made cakes. Dog walkers and their pooches always welcomed and water is available too for them!
Very welcoming and hard working staff, well organised and accomodating of mobility scooters without inconvenience (best to arrange ahead). Food is freshly cooked so expect to wait 20 to 30 minutes whilst enjoying their range of coffees and cold drinks. Outdoor, under cover seating usually available but indoors limited to space during busy periods. Open 6 days per week (closed Tuesdays).
I had a Bacon Roll (cob) with hash browns, a culinary classic. It was great, but it was also £8. Yes, the view is nice, but the same dish (of equal quality and with more bacon) is literally half the price in nearby Spondon. Aside from the premium pricing this is a pleasant experience.
Such a lovely place, great staff, gorgeous food! Will definitely be back!

Lovely breakfast, nice enough staff! Lovely location. Only gave it 4 rather than 5 stars overall as they seem too big for their car park! We got the last space and it was a tight fit, yet there were still a couple tables empty.. oh and we went during the week! So not somewhere I'd venture to on a weekend for fear of not being able to park.. but breakfast was lovely!
Brilliant!!!!!. Been here today for the first time and will be coming again. Lovely picturesque setting and great facilities for a coffee and a bite to eat with friends. A little off the beaten track but easily found in the car. They shut at 4 o clock so give yourself plenty of time to find it. Lots of seating inside and out for all times of the year. Great today in the sunshine. Plenty of parking at the back, toilets and seating. Log burner for the cold days. Suitable for dog owners but not open on a Tuesday which is a pity as this is my free day
Went to the Halloween Tales evening on Saturday 28th Oct . Really enjoyed the event but did think the “tales” presented by the Woolly Tellers could have been more Halloween themed than they were . Very Nottingham oriented tales , I’d have liked more on the history and tales of Halloween from around the world to be honest . Nonetheless a great evening and the food was okay too .
Came for breakfast and we were not disappointed. One normal and one gluten free, hot and very tasty. Would have been five stars if gluten free breakfast was stated on the menu instead of having to ask. Will 100% return for breakfast again
Lovely location with views of the cow fields. It is out off the beaten track but worth the visit for the tranquillity of the location. Very friendly staff and good service. The food was very good especially the cake. Love the tea timers to get the perfect brew from proper tea leaves. The interior is rustic but not rough but well done. Breakfasts are super too.
Lovely place for breakfast or lunch.
The food is excellent quality with friendly staff.
Parking is a bit of a pain, you might have to park on the road.
Dog friendly for those out walking.
Definitely recommend the Cowshed.

Absolutely top drawer vegetarian breakfast - probably the best I've ever had. Nice location too.
