Slumdog

Sat in for a meal last Thursday. Was excellent. The woman who took our order was very helpful (even if I did make it slightly awkward due to the just eat menu offering spice levels - sorry!) and attentive. Food was great. Asked for an extra spicy madras and it was exactly what I wanted. Would recommend and will definitely visit again soon.

I have to say the food was first class ++ the service excellent, the only reservation was there were two drivers but no alcohol free beer. Having said that they let us go and buy some and gave us glasses. Having spoken to the staff I do believe they will start stocking % .we had a very pleasant experience ☺️

As a foodie and someone who loves the sub continent’s cuisine, I was very impressed with Slumdog’s execution The shabby cool, Indian street decor and warm welcome from the staff, set the stage for a very solid foundation for a great evening of service. Their menu hits the full spectrum of Indian cuisine and you can almost indulge within it all with the very affordable prices and set meals that they offer! Slumdog is a class act and catered so well for our family of 14. The food was delicious, the service was timely and the kids had fun. This may be my new favorite Indian restaurant!

I must admit I had avoided ordering from here due to a bad experience a few years ago with a delivery that never turned up after two hours but I'm glad I gave them another try this being the third occasion I have ordered since they opened in Dalkeith. Although the delivery was just over by around 5-10 minutes on their estimate I was happy to see it arrive this time. My order was small just a butter chicken and roti both were delivered hot, cooked well and delicious. Hopefully I will order again with a similar positive experience.
