We have just left and thought it was excellent. The room was really clean and the beds were extremely comfy, very spacious room as we had our 2 kids aswell. We only saw one member of staff and they were friendly and very helpful. Very fair price, unfortunately we were there Monday to Wednesday when the bar was closed as we would have loved to have tried it. Great place
The pub is very nice, and the bar staff are lovely. The room was brilliantly clean and the utilities are good and modern. The only downsides were that the mattress leaves a lot to be desired and the door lock was broken and very fiddly. Overall, decent value for money and I would stay again if I was in the area.
We have been here for 2 nights out of our 3 and came back today and bedding has been changed and towels etc. We were not expecting that.. thank you.. Absolutely spotless. Very very comfy bed and best nights sleep we have had away for a long time. Also refreshments in fridge
were much appreciated. Highly recommend this place. Lovely bar downstairs with great friendly service. Definitely coming back. Thankyou for an amazing stay. 5 star if not more for us. Xxx
Spent the night here with my family (12 year old, 5 year old, GF) the room was lovely and spacious, extremely clean, the bathroom big with a really nice big walk in shower. The kids especially enjoyed the hot chocolate machine in the lobby (which is free). The beds were very comfy with just as comfy pillows, everyone feeling very refreshed this morning. We wanted to say a big thank you for the little surprise you left for our little girl for her 5th birthday it was greatly appreciated.

Really loved staying here, the room was perfectly sized, well thought out facilities. Fridge, TV, USB chargers on the lamps. Great shower room as well. There's also a communal lounge with sofas and a TV. Outdoor terrace was a nice touch. Direct below is the bar itself, with lovely outdoor area, nicely decorated inside with TV and pool table. Very welcoming staff who were friendly and had time for a good chat as well. Overall a really positive experience and definitely will return.
Fantastic staff, great atmosphere with a nice fire always lit and cosy, friendly customers and would highly recommend in Dalton area from light drinks too cocktails as well.
We stayed in the accommodation at the red lion. Extremely comfortable, clean and well thought out with the communal area. The shower was amazing. Tim, was very helpful and kind. We met the owner and he was lovely. My only comment for improvement would be the front door, we found it very difficult to open... :-) 😀
A really nice pub but the wine is horrendously over priced. £9.50 for a Chardonnay which is rank! Stick to the beers.
Nice clean pub.. had a few pints with some mates on a Friday afternoon...Good selection of ales and lagers , friendly staff.
