Popped in yesterday and hey wowee how this place has changed! What a fantastic surprise, looks decieve! Looks like a takeaway/cafe but step inside and the food is absolutely amazing! The best pub style food you'll get anywhere in the highlands and wonderfully boho atmosphere! You are onto a winner if you pop in here! Ches and keep it up!
Driving home from Scotland and needed breakfast - saw the sign and decided to give it a try - so glad we did.
Big breakfast is a full plate of food plus toast and coffee, all freshly cooked and served by smiling, happy people.
Thoroughly enjoyed and a great start to a 10 hour drive!
We have stopped at the Snack Shack several times and it is a perfect place to visit to stretch your legs, use the 🚾 restrooms and have a bite to eat. The food is homemade, tasty and reasonably priced £. The menu is extensive and has vegetarian options. The service is friendly and fast and the facility is clean. The interior looks like a modern chalet (perhaps a little dated, but who cares as it is clean) with vaulted ceilings and it is equipped with a wood burning stove for ambiance and heat. The views by the windows are nice as there is a stream with wildlife.
Stopped for lunch and was surprised by how nice it was inside. Food and service both excellent. Nice log fire added to the ambience.
What a great little place to stop. 1 minute off the A9. Lovely hot food. Scottish breakfast was great too. Obviously I had the French toast and it was out of this world. Love the decorations too
Brilliant place for a break reasonable prices plenty of room to spread out tables not to close together. Friendly down to earth staff willing to help. I've been here a few times over the years as Dalwhinnie is a handy stop not far from the carriageway and has good parking.
Excellent stop for breakfast on our cycle journey. Nice friendly staff. Lovely log burner keeping room warm and welcoming. Excellent full breakfast and delicious coffee
Good place for a quick bite, portions of food are quite filling and tasty. Would have been 5 stars had the owner been a bit more polite.
Nice wee stop off place. Friendly staff and very nice food.
I will eat here again next time i pass.
Stopped here on Saturday on the way to Ullapool, nice surroundings, clean and bright. Was a queue for orders, then we forum
Nd out the girl at the counter was doing everything, taking orders, making coffees, delivering good to tables when ready.....poor girl was run off her feet!!!- I think her name was Allinaura ( apologies if wrong but you know who you are!!🙂) they are lucky to have you and doubt they would have stayed open without you.....My sister and I both said we'd have walked out, as did, other customers!! On the plus side, curry sauce was amazing!!!!
Today, we stopped in for a bite of lunch.
Amazing Macaroni Cheese loaded fries and their own speciality, Loch Ericht Burger.
Thank you, Oriana, Jonny and other staff.
Our favourite haunt on our outbound and inbound trips to Glen Nevis and Fort William in Loachaber. So nicely catered for again by young Orianna and chef Johnny. All the food gorgeous - especially the burgers and fish and chips served in a really nice open plan restaurant complete with roaring fire in the big stove when needed.
