Excellent village bakery that's well worth a visit. There is a small amount of seating inside, and some benches outside. But access is tricky as it's up a slope and steps which would be impossible for wheelchair users. The village is pretty and scenery wonderful.

Fantastic village bakery and tea room. Called in for a pasty and drink while out cycling. Great range of sandwiches available made to order, and cakes to keep energy levels up 😉. A 'must' if you're passing and feeling peckish 👍

A small but wonderful bakery. After leaving our holiday rent, went for a bacon sandwich breakfast. It was a well filled wholemeal bun that did not disappoint. We also bought some orange cake which tasted just like Grandma used to make. We will definitely make a path there the next time we are in Yorkshire.

A stunning little Bakery/tea shop in the heart of Danby U.K. Amazing scones, cakes, coffee and light lunches. The best tea shop we have visited yet. Highly recommended.

Been eyeing up this place everyday of our short break in Castleton. I'd always just eaten, or saving my appetite for dinner. However, on our last morning we ventured over and truly gorged ourselves on the breakfast and bakery delights, taking some local honey and eggs away too. A very talented baker and great team at this place. Fantastic coffee too, this place knows the recipe for success and serves it at an honest price too. Just sad I may not have the occasion to replicate the experience as soon as I'd wish to.

It’s standard that everywhere we go we find the best bakery, and that we did 🤩 it’s a lovely cute small local bakery (we love that) we stopped for a bite to eat here and are quite the fussy type, we got the paninis one ham and cheese and one cheese and tomato which where served with coleslaw and salad, probably one of the best panini’s I have had, our son is extremely fussy also he got the jacket with cheese and beans and loved it so much he ate it all, which clearly tells you how nice it is here 😍 we ordered strawberry milkshakes which where all made with fresh ice cream, we finished with cakes to go one Victoria sponge, chocolate brownie, peanut flapjack and chocolate flapjack all amazing. We went here 2 days in a row because we loved it. We also bought a lemon curd and this morning I had it for breakfast I’m sorry we didn’t purchase more as now I’m hooked the best fresh lemon curd about hats off to the bakery 😁 The definition of an amazing local bakery, staff all amazing friendly and polite! We will be back from Liverpool again. Danby Bakery you did not disappoint! Thank you

I stayed in the West Wing cottage situated directly behind the bakery this weekend. This bakery is wonderful. Me and my partner had a blt and a sausage sandwich.. And shared a piece of coffee and walnut cake. And 2 lattes which came to around £12 which I think is reasonable. The quality of the sandwiches were tip top. Care had gone into the preparation. The cake was lovely and moist. This is a very popular place as in the short time we were sat there... Several locals came in buying many things and making bread order for Christmas. There is a small seating area. There is also a toilet. No wheelchair access unfortunately. About 3 or 4 steps to the door. Also the track upto the front can get muddy when the weather is wet. Lovely place... Lovely food.. Lovely service
