Lovely bar and lovely staff...thursday night a little empty but still stayed open for us drinking cocktails. Even gave us a free drink at the end of the night. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely fantastic in every way. We’re from Seattle US area and staying over near Darlington. Al forno was exactly what we were looking for. Casual atmosphere with fantastic service and great food. My picky kids cleared their plates without a word of “encouragement”. Also, we’re vegetarian and we’re able to simply ask for our mains without meat. Simple. Truly lovely evening meal.
Had lunch on Saturday with 5 friends seated in window table which was great airy & pleasant outlook.

Everyone was really happy with there food it was delicious, well presented, hot, very tasty & extremely good value. Service spot on pleasant staff, very smart & helpful each & everyone of them. Well done Al Fornos

We got seated straight away and the service was quick. Order a hot hot parmo and it was very nice.
We walked in seated straight away. Service was prompt. Asked for drinks food was ready within 15 minutes no problems whatsoever. It was beautiful food. Even got a takeout with the food I couldn't manage. I had the calzone and my friend had the lasagne. She had never been before and she will probably go again
A lovely place with great service, the food is just great well presented and nice portions. The place is beautifully decorated and the staff are very helpful, going out of there way to assist us on our dietary needs. A great place look forward to my next visit.
We've came to visit darlington all the way from Leeds and we tried Alforno for lunch.
The dishes were very delicious that I could not stop eating.
I order fried calamari for starters it was a bit salty but it's also very delicious.
I really wish that this place is opened in Leeds , i'd be their customer 🙏🏼🤍
Had a lovely night, the place was mega busy, staff have been amazing, the hanging kebab was unreal with the homemade sauce, the manager even made us some more of the homemade sauce to take home. Well done to the owners brother for amazing and attentive service
It's 3/4 years since we visited Al forno. We used to visit regularly but since covid we've just got out of the habit. It's even better than it used to be. Lovely food, cooked fresh with excellent service at reasonable prices. The whole restaurant feels fresher (must have had a bit of refurb).
Highly recommend if you are out in Darlington or want a nice meal in a very relaxed setting.

This is a really nice place. The staff are polite and helpful, and it is a fair price. This is an update 6 years after our first visit. It's still a superb Italian restaurant. Great food and service we have never had a complaint. Saturday lunch is well worth a visit. Thanks for being within walking distance of our house.
