Brilliant old pub, well worth a visit to meet owners Peter and Leslie who are absolutely spot on and cant do enough for you, along with the very interesting decor inside

No restaurant at the moment but a nice friendly pub but limited opening times. 5-9 Thursday to Sunday.

Sadly the Comet is currently closed (September 18,19 2021).
I do hope it reopens as the village really needs a pub. I've rated it on the last time I visited (pre covid).

5* Sunday lunch, was asked if we had enough of everything, Asked for extra veg and this was provided. Good choice of meats. Great selection of starters and sweets! Staff are all lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The only downsides are that regulars book week after week and sometimes it's difficult to get a table, which speaks for it's self really! And that they are not open for food more often!
