Gorgeous food - great vegan menu which is why we visited this pub. We went along on a gorgeous sunny day sat outside in the garden and it was just beautiful.
The meal - tender stem tempura Broccoli and hummus, and salad with Apple, grapes and crunchy nuts followed by pulled jackfruit in bun with chips and tagliatelle with nuts and cherry tomatoes. It was a fab meal, really tasty and good value. Definitely recommend a visit.
me and my wife went yesterday for lunch it was a spare of the moment choice not been for years ....well what a fantastic surprise we had . Sat in the beer garden , I ordered triple cheese bacon burger and my wife asked if they could make her a tuna sandwich (not on the menu)they said no problem !
both meals were to die for. Very impressed with quality and portion size ,we will definitely be returning very soon
Fantastic food, portion was amazing and good value for price, was a bit akward walking in and felt maybe not the correct place to go. How ever once your inside and settled lovely staff amazing food. Was given dog treats and water and the regulars was very welcoming
Went on the off chance of somewhere to go for a parmo. Didn't book. Arrived, decent size car park and a few people in but spare tables. Amazing friendly staff showed us to a table, got our drinks whilst we liked at the menu. Ordered texas parmo and a veggie parmo and extra onion rings. Really nice well presented food. Freshly cooked and tbh probably the best parmo I've had. Nicely loaded and very moist. Very impressed. Will certainly head back there.
Impromptu meal out with the minis,just because and the food was great. Still really full!

The ribs were lovely, chips were great and staff fantastic. We were there for the quiz too which was good fun.
One down side which won't affect everyone the people there got really drunk and were a bit rude
Good location in cozy surroundings with great service from the moment we arrived.
A bit of a wait between our starter and the main courses, but no great issue as we were not in any hurry. Potato skins starter and main courses of steak pie and chicken supreme with Stilton sauce. A good choice of beers but £5.30p for a premium lager?
Had sunday lunch here yesterday after visiting the Tees Cottage Pumping Station. Food was delicious with a generous portion size, staff were really friendly & helpful, as were the locals i spoke to. Fabulous place, great location & lovely outside space too. Plenty parking as well. Great find which i hope to return to on future visits.
Always liked the food here and came for the first time in quite a while yesterday for my sisters birthday. The parmo was tremendous! Nice and thick and done perfect. Best pub parmo I've had in ages! Definitely one of the best pubs for food in Darlington!
Went today with the family for Sunday lunch ,two of us got the small lunch ,one was the standard and my son opted for the parmo,,I can say it was lovely ,no complaints at all ,quick service and friendly staff .
Great find for us whilst house hunting. Lovely friendly staff and customers and a gorgeous meal. Didn't think they would be serving food at 2.15pm but had a full menu to choose from and it was beautiful. Even do smaller portions for people like me who can't eat a lot, but still very generous. Loved it.
First time to this pub, and it was a pleasure in every sense, our food was lovely and there's a great choice on the menu
