Lovley staff and beautiful food would recommend anyone to come here place was spotless couldn't fault anything
We visit here often and the service is always friendly and the staff check 2-3 times through the meal that all is ok, never had reason to moan or complain about the food or staff. We always go to the Darlington one as wolviston is always so busy with long waiting times to get seated. Just read a couple of the other reviews and had to comment as the food is always hot and nice!
We have been at breakfast and tea time, as a couple and also with our 3 kids, no hesitation in recommending this restaurant
Me and my 3 young boys regularly visit here. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The food is amazing and the boy are always over the moon when we come. Clean tidy restaurant and facility. Cozy place to enjoy some family time.
We were greeted promptly and shown a seat even though we hadn't booked.
Emma came over to us not long after we sat, taking our drinks order. She served us for the rest of our visit. Very pleasant woman to deal with and great customer service skills. Attentive but not overbearing or in your face, plus didn't ask how everything was when your mouth was full which was a nice change.
The food was gorgeous too. We will definitely be returning.
The whole place was very well run. Staff were friendly but relaxed, all seem to know what they were doing, and were busy and efficient but not manic. I liked that a staff member asked if the carver was ok, as that is a relentless job. One comment, all the salt pots were clogged up, probably as a result of steam coming off the food, and need cleaning and refilling.
The staff were great, although one of the chefs was getting his dinner and left all the utensils facing into to kitchen which made it difficult for guests to reach them. The food good but tepid and my wife ordered pigs in blankets which was cancelled as they hadn’t arrived by the time she finished her lunch.
Called in last Saturday evening without booking, expected it to be full but practically empty. Quickly seated by a very friendly waitress who went beyond yet wasn't overbearing.
Food nice and kiddy bowl great value.
It was still busy @4 pm but staff were really friendly and helpful, tried to get us to a table ASAP. Food was good. We thought soft drinks were over priced .
Staff was very friendly and helpful but was run off their feet. Not enough staff to cope with all the customers. The ice machine was empty and the cherry flavour was empty in all you can drink machine and staff could not deal with it as too busy dealing with customers and cleaning tables. So if you are doing promotions more staff on shift would be better for customer and staff experience. The food was cooked nicely. Overall well worth going and good value for money.
The staff are very welcoming and polite. The tables are always nice and clean. My only criticism is about the carver on the carvery, lovely guy but I noticed that he was doing his own running, by that I mean when a meat had run out he was having to go into the kitchen and fetch a new joint. This leaves a queue getting longer of people at the carvery, surely there should be a different person doing the running for meat. My partner has worked in catering and in particular a carvery in the past and it was one person carving, one person running and another cooking. Never had long queues and makes the system run more smoothly. There seemed to be a few people packing takeouts and changing veg deck empties, definitely need another one running meat. You would probably find you would avoid lengthy queues and cover more heads.
