Small store but packs a lot in and has a decent foodhall. Over the last years it has always looked well kept with good visual displays. Staff are lovely and very helpful. It is a store that provides a lifeline to many people who live or work near Darlington town centre. It will be sadly missed if it shuts with nothing close to matching it in the town centre to replace it.

Medium sized, traditional high street M&S with a reasonable range of goods. Not much homeware though. Most of the menswear is in a little alcove which is easily missed. Usually fairly busy. Good food hall, although some self service tills to avoid having to queue would be a good addition.

Great shop. I shop there every saturday morning for a full weeks food shop. I live on my own and the ready meals are the answer. I have some 75,000 points on my sparks card. There are only two slight issues... some of the dates on the ready meals... ?? and one of the assistants. If she is not on on a saturday... it just is not the same experience... all the staff are helpful and make you feel special but a girl called 'Carrie' goes out of her way to make sure I always buy more than I came for!!! She is absolutely brilliant in helping me... Best shop for food.

Love this store! Can always find something to buy whether it be for birthday, Christmas, school uniform etc. Lovely café too, it's a shame it's going to be closing down in the near future. Guess I'll have to find somewhere else to shop ☹️.

Friendly, clean always welcoming. I had to call in about an Umbrella my Aunt bought me a spoke was damaged. The staff on CustomerServices were polite fiendly and most helpful. I was offered an exchange for my umbrella they were apologetic as they hadn't the same style available. I was quite happy to accept a different coloured one. Needless to say I am one very happy Customer who won't be getting wet in the rain.

Love shopping at marks and Spencers. Mi d you I ended up with a discussion at the till with other shoppers who are quite befuddled by the sparks card. There were were thinking we were adding points and the till girl informed us it didn't work that way! Yes I get emails, but I rarely bother to opt for their special offers. The one time I wanted something that was on their offers I was having to stand in the middle of Marks filling in the email in order to gain the points minutes later. Not good M and S. And what about the older generation who don't use computers. They miss out too. Give us points and it's very likely your sales will improve. Other than that the Darlington shop isn't too bad for shopping. Not as big as teesside park so if you are after more choice go there. Staff at Darlington are as in all m&S shops very helpful.

I have just rang the store to check if a particular pair of trousers i want are in stock in my size ...i have hunted all the stores in my area and been unsuccessful but i spoke to a lovely lady called Nicola A at the Darlington branch ....who checked for me straight away and found me a pair ....as i live quite a way away she offered to put them to one side for me so i didn't have to worry and could collect them on Tuesday .....Excellent customer ...Thank you so much

Friendly staff and services never had a bad experience in this store.. Staff are always willing to help... Lots of choice bread section is good.. Food Isle have plenty of choice... Clothes for women men and children...

The food in here not expensive but the quality of food is really yummy, we shop every week and the amount of food me and daughter eat from here is loads, no food has let us down, keep the good work up on the food. Thanks M & S for the food.
