We just ordered tea and coffee. The raspberry tea was very good. It’s a nice place to wait before your train. The lady taking orders was kind of grumpy though. She also wasn’t very forthcoming when asked questions. Maybe she’s having a bad morning though. I’d still visit again.
You can enter before or after you scan your ticket which is nice.

Update for following visit in August 2023
We were once again in Darlington Railway Station and so decided to have lunch at the
Pumpkin Cafe
Sally fortunately was once again serving and both her efficient abilities and also her affable friendly nature creates a totally pleasant and enjoyable experience and environment
We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be sure to visit once again when back in the area...
I do hope as a company you appreciate what she does for your business as she is a great asset
