Been coming to Gays Creamery for over 20 years with the family when we went on holiday to Dawlish....it's become a sort of annual pilgrimage. Now I have a family of my own we've continued that tradition!
Amazing pastries, moreish cream teas, and godly tier cakes. My only niggle is they no longer do the treacle tarts I remember from many years ago.....but the cherry pie definitely makes up for it.
Here's to another 20 years
I have to give their pasties a 5 star. So many different fillings. Don't know what one I liked best there all excellent. No seating inside but seating on the other side of the road by the ponds.
Absolutely love Gay's Creamery. It's been around for a long time and brings so many great memories when ever i visit. The food has always been great and great value. Can't ask for more
Called in with a newbie to the area. Her first time and it wasn't disappointing. We had the full on I e cream with cream and flake, at £3.80. it was the best money I've spent in a long long time. It was.just superb. Everything I had promised was delivered. It's on her list of visits with friends in the future. Just a wonderful experience all around. Staff great, terrific selection of pastries and delicatessen type foods together with other other incidentals. It's worth the trip wherever you are coming from. Well be back
Love this place. Friendly staff, quick service and most importantly great food. My personal favourite is the breakfast pie. Full to the brim of a scrumpy breakfast 😋 with very lovely pastry. Will be telling everyone 😉
This is our go to place when we visit Dawlish. Lovely bakery, ideal for holiday presents but for us it’s the cream teas and the ice cream. The best ice cream has clotted cream on top and a flake. Dog had to share some ice cream with us too 💖
Lot's of homemade cakes, cream tea's, ice cream, clotted cream and fudge! Good prices, and cakes were nice. Also a toy shop upstairs. Seemed a very popular place, but lot's of staff so we were served quickly. It's opposite the park by the sea front, near the railway station.
They look so nice and we were going to get some clotted cream on the way back from the beach, but we ran out of time.
I love the boxes of toffee to say thank you for looking after our cats, dogs or house!
My first ever visit to the quaint little seaside town of Dawlish. I bought a takeaway cream tea for one - generous helping of clotted cream & jam on a fruit scone! Also bought a couple of bottles of Gays Creamery ale and some "I ❤️ Gays Creamery" Key rings. Some tasty looking, freshly made cuisine (an assortment of quiches, pasties and cakes - all that's needed to make this even better is to include more vegetarian/vegan options with the savouries) and lots of choice of quirky souvenirs too.
LOVE THIS PLACE. Best place for homemade scones, sausage rolls and pasties. All home made. Great value for money . friendly staff as well . There is always a que, but it moves quickly . I would definitely recommend if your in the area.
